Excellent location in Windsor, but in a quiet street. The hotel has great character, very different from some of the corporate chains that we also considered. We had breakfast in the hotel; beautifully cooked and efficiently served. All the staff from the receptionist on our arrival to the cleaning staff in the corridors and those serving breakfast were polite, friendly and efficient - they are a credit to the hotel and should be congratulated for the excellent service that they provided. We would heartily recommend the hotel to others.

My wife and I,both being over 60, booked this hotel because of it’sproximity to Windsor Castle that we were going to visit. The next day we took a boat trip on the river which is a fewminutes walk past the Castle. Then on to have a look at Eton village andthe famous school. All within an easy 20 minutes walk from the hotel.

This hotel is my preferred choice in Windsor. It has the feel of a small, family-owned hotel, yet has decent rooms and a great price (for Windsor). The location is good, a short walk to Windsor Castle and the town centre, and a short walk to the Long Walk and Windsor Great Park. It has car parking (hard to come by in Windsor).

We arrived early and asked if we could possibly check in as we were going to catch a train into central London to see an afternoon show. The receptionist also informed us of the train timetable. The hotel room was clean and comfortable and eventhough we attended breakfast late there was a great selection and it was very fresh. The location of the hotel is perfect for us, within 1 minute walk to the train station, 30 minute walk to Windsor and across the road from The Royal St.
Colin  — 20.9.2010.
A very pleasant hotel, especially the staff. At all times they werecourteous, helpful and very pleasant, exactly what you would expect fromany hotel. The restaurant was light, airy and comfortable and thefood was great, although my wife’s Sunday dinner was cooked at lunchtimeand re-heated which made it slightly dry but still very edible. We wereusing this hotel for a particular reason and should that reason ariseagain, we would return without hesit.

The hotel was very centrally located to explore Windsor and has plenty of parking which is free if you stay at the hotel. To explore Windsor itself therefore it was perfectly placed. We did not eat in the hotel restaurant at any other time. The room was very clean and comfortably furnished.
