Although the hotel is a little shabby in certain areas i could not fault the staff , they have all obviously been very well trained and do a fantastic job and they made the holiday for me. the whole place has a very relaxed and welcoming feel to it, the pool area and spa facilities are a great addition to the hotel. the food was also very good although the restaurant at night was a bit overpriced. all in all i would reccomend this hotel to friends and family who want a break in england for a change! apparently it is been refurbished at the moment so all the little problems there are will be s.

We had a very enjoyable stay here. The room was a great size and the bathroom was very largetoo. Although we were on a b&b basis, we ate at the hotel each night andthe food was excellent and if you wanted a slight variation, the staffwere more than happy to help. I would definitely recommend this hotelfor it’s rooms, food and staff - shame it’s not nearer to my home tovisit again.

It was an excellent place for our 56th wedding anniversary, having spent our honeymoon in Torquay. The architecture in the towns and villages was so interesting and museums were great. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the establishment so relaxing. We had a wonderful holiday.
Scane  — 13.7.2011.
I found the hotel full of painters doing stairs and hallways: The hotel was not worth the money L89 per night : Friends who I was meeting here; I found out had paid L102 per night, they were from Canada and had been told L51, but when they arrived found this to be per person: very disapointed: Other hotels for less money have been far better: and I use hotels all over the UK every week:.

It was an excellent place for our 56th wedding anniversary, having spent our honeymoon in Torquay. The view from the room was wonderful, as our home is up a quiet country lane. There was so much to visit by bus, using our bus passes! My husband is into steam, so we didn’t have to go far to find some. The architecture in the towns and villages was so interesting and museums were great. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the establishment so relaxing. We had a wonderful holiday.

Everything from pulling into the car park to checking out of this hotel was an absolute pleasure. Our room was delightful, real fresh milk in the fridge, a proper full power hairdryer, all the niggles from normal hotels have been addressed here. The breakfast was delicious and although when checking in we were told that everything is made fresh so we may have to wait a while, we received it well within 10 minutes. The walk into town was approx 10 mins but not unpleasant and there was a nice pub on the way which I think was called Bull and.
Sue  — 23.1.2011.
We take a weekend away regularly and the Carlton Court was one of the nicest places we’ve stayed - beating many hotels. It was great to have a jug of fresh milk for our tea in the fridge that was in our room- this also contained two bottles of complimentary water. A nice choice of fresh fruit at breakfast was also most appreciated. The proprietors were very friendly and helpul - if we go to Torquay again we’d stay here for sure.
Elizabeth  — 19.3.2011.
What a lovely stay we had, our room was so beautiful , light and airey, with views over the garden and down towards the sea. we are so glad we did not book a noisey hotel down on the sea front. The Hotel was so nice and quiet no children running around. Helen and Phil sure know how to run a small Hotel.

The Hotel owners were wonderful and made us feel at home. We also used the Bar in the Hotel in the evening to relax and chill. There was only a short walk to Town and the beach, so the was nice for us. There are lots to do and see in and around Torquay for everyone.

We would say the owner of the hotel was not typical of a B &B but he was a friendly, polite and helpful person. B&B was very clean and well furnished with an excellent breakfast. The hotel was not far from the centre of Torquay in a quiet area. I would recommend this hotel and would be happy to stay here again.
