I booked the Murrayfield Hotel & Lodge as a very last minute thing having found my planned weekend to Edinburgh had crept up on me and I still had no where to stay. Was a bit apprehensive upon arrival not having done much research beforehand on the hotel but was very pleasantly surprised but what I saw. The hotel is very welcoming, clean and tidy and in a good location only a very short bus journey from the centre. Full English, tea and toast,.

After looking for a hotel in the middle of Edinburgh, and finding thatbarely any of them had parking available, especially one for less than35-pounds per day, we made an educated guess at assuming driving andparking in Edinburgh was terrible. This was confirmed by a b&b ownerthat we were staying with on the previous night to staying atMurrayfield, and also in our own minds when we arrived in Edinburghthe next day. And bingo! We found Murrayfield. Not onlywas public transport perfectly located near Murrayfield, but.

The hotel is very clean, bright and comfortable, convenient for Edinburgh by an excellent bus service; the hotel also has good free car parking. The hotel is one of my favourites in Scotland - except when football is playing loudly in the bar and the restaurant is closed.

I stayed over in this hotel overnight prior to flying on to Europe, onmy arrival the staff were very efficient and attentive. The only issueas with all hotels is that the drinks were a bit expensive but theatmosphere was very relaxed and soon this was forgotten. The room was very comfortable, clean and luckily for us our request for a quiet area was addressed. IThink the most fundamental aspect of my first stay with Quality Hotelsat Edinburgh Airport was that from the Gene.

As we were there for Hogmanay, we didnt spend much time at the hotel. The hotel room was very clean and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly. We got a free bus service back from Hogmanay celebrations (to airport) and the hotel picked us up on their courtesy bus back to the hotel, which was very good, considering it was the early hours of the morning.
Maria  — 30.6.2011.
We received a professional warm welcome to the hotel, we dined in the hotel and received first class service, bus service from hotel to the airport was regular, we will most definitely stay at this hotel again when we fly from Ediinburgh.

Me and my boyfriend had a wonderful time at this hotel, the staff were more than helpful with everything we needed and always had a smile on their face. I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to take a break to edinburgh, the location was just perfect as we wasnt in the hustle and bustle of the centre but still only a ten minute car journey away. The room was spacious and comfy and had a lovely view, the hotel offered great spa facilities which helped after a long day shopping. All in all a great break away spent with my now fiance.
James  — 8.9.2010.
Although the outside of the hotel didn’t look brilliant, the inside was modern & clean. There were four of us staying in two rooms and we were all very pleased with the rooms. The hotel itself was about four miles outside Edinburgh city centre, which meant that you either need to take a taxi, bus or hire car into the city. We were very pleased with the hotel.

My husband have just returned from the Macdonald Roxburghe Hotel and loved every minute of our stay. Our room and bathroom were beautiful with wonderful views of the square. We have stayed in more expensive boutique hotels in Edinburgh but the Roxburghe surpassed them in every aspect of hospitality. We have every intention of returning to the hotel and would like to take.

After suffering hot nights in other hotels for our first 8 nights in theuk, I was pleasantly surprised and greatly gratified to spot a fan uponentering the room. Then I saw the letter from hotel mgmt, telling usthat we could also pick up a top sheet from the front desk if we needsomething lighter than a duvet. Wow! A hotel that actually went to thetrouble to make sure we could have a comfortable sleep in a cool room!!!I see why they can guarantee a good night’s sleep!.
Aisling  — 3.8.2011.
Staff very friendly. As we arrived from Dublin on an early morning flight we went to check if they could hold our bags for the day until check in time. Just by chance there was a room available for us on arrival which was excellent! The stay over all was brilliant and i will definetly book with this hotel again on my return to Edinburgh. Most enjoyable stay and thank you to the staff at reception they are a credit to your hotel.
Christine  — 5.7.2011.
Hotel ok, reasonable location but room was very cold and heater was on a timer which went off after 15 minutes. Bathroom smelled of drains and bed was uncomfortable. Parking was L8 for 24 hours which is cheap for Edinburgh. Not much around hotel.
