Potters Mooring Hotel Teignmouth: Tasty breakfast, Fantastic bar, Great location.
James  — 16.1.2012.
I had a very enjoyable long weekend with friends at Potters Mooring. Theowners were very welcoming and you were able to come and go as youpleased. The room was extremely comfortable and very clean, with chambermaid service whilst you were out. Breakfast, which was included in theprice, was exceptional and certainly set you up for the rest of the day!The hotel is in an ideal location for Shaldon and Teignmouth (the lattervia passenger ferry which was a short walk from the hotel). I wouldcertainly make a return visit.

Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We dropped our luggage off 2 hours before official booking in time. We were made a drink and access to all facilities. The rooms were very comfortable and the whole hotel was clearly "loved" by the owners. Everything you would need for an overnight stay was in the room. It was lovely to be just a minutes walk from the river and beach. Having a pub with next door and other good places to nearby was an added bonus.

I appreciated the care, consideration and friendly service. Theaccommodation was exceptionally clean, very comfortable and warrm. Thesurrounding area is beautiful and there is lots to do. There is an addedadvantage that the pub next door serves excellent meals and the staffthere are equally hospitable. Highly recomment Potters' Mooring.

I stayed here with 2 of my children for 1 night while visiting family in Teignmouth. Our room was spacious and the standard of cleanliness was far better than some 5* hotels that I have stayed in. When I booked I was not aware that this was a vision hotel and when I found out I was quite concerned as I have a phobia about dog hair and doggy smells but in fact it not only was the hotel spotless but the whole experience was wonderful and enlightening. I would certainly recommend the Cliffden particularly to mature visitors and families with children ( the indoor pool is.
Colleen  — 7.8.2010.
The location was fantastic and also the beautiful gardens surroundingthe hotel were very relaxing and enjoyable to stroll around. I havetravelled extensively in both budget & high priced hotels but this hotelprovided me with one of the best feelings of relaxation and pleasurethat I have experienced. It was nice knowing that my money was helpingto provide a service for the visually impaired and a plus for me stayingat Cliffden was being surrounded by so many adorable and well behaveddogs. I will certainly recommend Cliffden to my friends and if I findmyself in that area again will certainly st.

The cottage is absolutely beautiful, just what you would hope anenglish country cottage to be. It has a magnificent thatched roof thatmakes it very attractive from the outside. The breakfast wasindividually cooked, rather than mass produced as in a large hotel. Theservice and staff were excellent and friendly and the cottage has a oldwordly charm from a bygone era, however the adaptations to make itcomfortable in todays environment make it an excellent place to stay. The twin bedroom feels like you are in your own mini flat with separatebathroom and toilet. With only three guest bedrooms it is small andpersonal and set in the most idealic surroundings. If you visit youmust walk up the lane behind the cottage to the field for the moststunning views. A panorama that would be hard to beat any where in theworld. To all who read this enjoy.
Graham  — 25.11.2011.
Very interesting and unusual cottage, with connections to naval history and design, well appointed inside with some nice period features. Our room which was comfortable with a seperate bath/shower room with a sea view, was nicely decorated to a very high standard. Helen and her daughter Vicky were very pleasant and friendly who made us feel welcome, they fed and looked after us well. Minadab is well located for touring the surrounding area, also being on a main bus route, short journey into Teignmouth or Dawlish in the opposite direction or 20 minute walk into Teignmouth if you fancy leaving the car, as the property has good off - road parking. We enjoyed our six night stay very much.

The personal touch. Minadab Cottage is a charming, old-fashioned,circular pink cottage on the Teignmouth road. Our room was a cosy, woodpanelled double with a private shower/dressing room across the landing.Breakfast was traditional English, with home made jams. The owner andmanager, Helen Maclaine, and her daughter Emma made us feel immediatelyat home. Her attention to detail and hospitality made a great stay intoa memorable visit. In Teignmouth we enjoyed a super couple of eveningsat a recommended Italian restaurant which was a 20 minute walk away fromMinadab. We will be back.

Very friendly staff, nice relaxed atmosphere and Room no 1 is a very large familly room with 2 bathrooms and a sitting room where you could happily sit and have glass of wine while your preparing to go out for the evening. There is a quaint little village with a nice friendly local pub down the road if you wanted to leave the car behind, or you are only 5 minutes from Torquay or Babbacombe by car or bus. good central point for investigating the south west coast. would def stay here again. 9/10
Darren  — 23.12.2011.
My stay at Ansteys was my first stay at an hotel and I was a little apprehensive beforehand, but I needn't have worried. The room was ideal for my requirements, even having a little fridge which was a pleasant surprise! There was also a plentiful supply of tea, coffee etc. The hotel is family run ,and they were all very friendly and most helpful. I would definately recommend the hotel, and it also offers excellent value for money which is important in todays financial climate.
