The staff at the Rendezvous hotel in Skipton are very helpful. Thecombination of the two is very rare and makes the Rendezvous at Skiptona very special place indeed. I highly reccommend this hotel. Steve Abiola Phillips.

Pleasant hotel, breakfasts expensive so we chose to eat out. Plenty of parking spaces. The room was comfortable and spacious but we were on fourth floor facing the road (only Velux window so views were not that delightful considering the surrounding areas). Skipton is half hour walk away (can walk along to canal) with plenty of pubs and eating places.

Comfortable hotel situated outside the town with a pleasant 25 minute walk in along the canal footpath. Accommodation had everything you need and whilst the decor is nothing special it was good value and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was excellent and every one of the staff that we came across was extremely helpful and polite.

We have stayed in Skipton on a number of occasions but this was the first time at Herriots Hotel, and it wont be the last we will defiently stay here the next time we visit Skipton. Great location opposite the railway station and only 5 mins walk into Skipton lovely walk along the canal. The staff were extremely pleasent and helpful. Would recommend the Herriots to anyone that was planning a trip to Skipton.

The hotel staff were very friendly , very happy to help. the rooms were nice over looking the canal which was lovely. the distance to skiipton was a nice walk along the canal about 5 min walk. the eating areas at the hotel were very nice and cosy very contempary we have already recommended his hotel to friends and family.

The hotel is close to the centre of Skipton. The staff were helpfuland obliging. The hotel is friendly and the location is excellent and there is agood car park.

This is a classy hotel with first class "silver service" - right fromthe time you arrive at the door (helped with cases from my boot to theroom) until the moment you leave. The staff were verypolite and gave an excellent service all-round (all staff were verysmartly dressed which gives an air of class and finesse). There are tworestarants - we ate in the less formal Brasserie - the meal and servicewas excellent and the menu offered a very good variety. The Brasseriebar is well equipped with a variety of beers.

If you like walking and the countryside then you could not wish for a better location. The Brasserie Restaurant was relaxed and informal and the choice of food was good and varied. The Gourmet Restaurant was superb and the presentation was that good that you didnt want to eat it !!! Myself and my partner both have a wheat allergy and the Hotel catered for this throughout our stay without us ever having to remind them of the issue. One of the best weekends I have ever had.

The staff were not only polite and accomodating, but friendly andinformative. The location of the hotel is just a 2 minute walk to theHigh Street where you can walk to any of the local attractions such asthe Castle, canal or even Skipton Woods. Breakfast is served fresh toorder and included a very varied choice such things as eggs benedict,smoked haddock and eggs and was superbly cooked. We have stayed at thishotel before and will happily return.

A most unique hotel, with individually designed rooms. The hotel has a great location, very close to the town centre with all its amenities. The breakfast was of superb quality, with plenty of choice, and stylish presentation. We would definitely stay again.

This is a very quirky (in a nice way) hotel. the rooms were very nice and having been away wereh I stayed in 5 othewr hotels, the food was the best by fart both a dinner and breakfast where everything wa cooked freshly to order. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Superb bed and room; great dining room with huge fireplace! Lovely home cooking and friendly couple, who both work so hard. Excellent location for the Dales, Skipton &c. You get what it said "on the tin" - peaceful and atmospheric countryside. We hope to be back!.

Situated in the village of Carleton-in-Craven, just 2 miles from the historical, market town of Skipton, with its 4 day open air market, Poppy Cottage is the ideal base for those who want to escape the hustle and bustle of the town and sample a 'cottage' style B&B, whilst exploring Skipton and the Dales. Carleton itself has it's own newsagents/village store, local pub serving meals, Post Office and Farm Shop and has some lovely local walks taking you around the village and into the town. Then take one of the hourly buses back from Skipton into the village.
