This was a real "find" of a hotel - welcoming, comfortable and with delicious food on the menu. Fantastic breakfast and "themed" comfortable bedrooms. Roaring log fires in the evening and a good selection of wines, beers and whiskies.

My family felt the hotel provided comfort, relaxation & a feeling ofcare & attention was being given to guests. The staff look great intheir uniforms with the long white aprons, alittle like upstairs downstairs! The hotel has an olde worlde charm & a lovely cobled street arearunning through it, with decked seating areas with lovely vines &flowers in pots etc where the old coaches would have run through it inthe olden days! The food was great, lots of choice at breakfast, goodquality bacon & eggs cooked to perfection. The hotel was a goodtemperature all the time & endless hot water & all towel.
Stephen  — 17.8.2010.
The hotel has great character and a great deal of history linked to it. It is very well placed for touring the Cotswolds and our rooms in the Coach House were a very pleasant surprise. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. We only had time for a bar meal and breakfast, both of which were excellent. I would say the experience of staying at the Crown and Cushion was very good the price was very reasonable and I and my friends who accompanied me would definitely return and would recomment it to others.

Great if you used to Youth Hostel standards. Not so great if you expect a nice hotel. Rooms are tired, floor sagging in, dirty paintwork, old plumbing, furniture like my great grand mother’s. We know ours wasn’t teh only poor room from the conversations at breakfast. Breakfast bar was not re-stocked even though more than half the guests. We had yet to come downstairs. Be early if you wnat pastries. But the cooked breakfast was excellent. Only one nice staff member. The rest need to learn to smile.

Chipping Campden is beautiful, the perfect place to stay in the Cotswolds. The staff were really friendly. Molly (I think her name is) cooked up a good breakfast and her service was lovely. I would recommend this to anyone, especially given it is one of the best prices for this type of accommodation in the Cotswolds.

The Red Lion is in a marvellous location and on the day we visited, there were several activities in the village. Chipping Campden is closeto many interesting places and the Red Lion would be a good place tostay for touring the area. Lunch and breakfast were good, although wechose another nearby hotel for dinner, simply because we wanted to havea short walk but the dinner menu at the Red Lion looked good. Theaccommodation had its own front door and key and therefore there was noneed to go through the pub.
Anonymous  — 13.5.2011.
Parking at the pub and being in the centre of this picturesque village. Quaint bedroom with comfy bed.
Helen  — 4.12.2010.
The location was good for all the beautiful sights the cotswoldshas to offer. The hotel was lovely, really friendly staff and a beautiful setting.
