The hotel was conveniently situated so that we could walk into Salisbury very quickly. The food in the hotel was delicious and not expensive. We were especially pleased to be able to watch a pair of kingfishers from our room as they were going in and out of their burrow to their chicks. We would definitely stay here again, and would have no hesitation in recommending it.

This is a charming hotel located just a few minutes from Salisbury Cathedral. Just across the river were grazing sheep and beyond them was the spire of the cathedral. There is a restaurant and pub located within the hotel and several restaurants to choose from just across the bridge. The hotel has a car park (no charge) and the staff is very accommodating.
Jonathan  — 12.2.2010.
The hotel is ideal for a short break in Salisbury. Free Parking, whereas if you want a hotel right in the heart of the city you won’t get free parking. If you want a full english then there is a supplement of 4. 95 per person.

The city lodge hotel is just that - a hotel,- just reception area and rooms. we also had free biscuits and fruit, and bottled water in our rooms. my room was at the back of the hotel on the ground floor and so it was very quiet. not sure what rooms on the road side were like for noise as the hotel is right opposite a night club.
Giordana  — 5.8.2011.
Small clean hotel, in the centre of Salisbury, (but 15 min walking from the railway station). it is a good value hotel, cheap but functional. I will stay , when in Salisbury again. I’m absolutely satisfied for the price paid and what obtained.
Kevin  — 19.11.2010.
We booked this hotel as the location was great, being in the heart ofthe city. The accommodation was modern (although the actual buildingitself dates from the 15th century) very clean and the bed comfy. Veryclose to all the attractions of Salisbury, a short walk to thecathedral. We would stay in this hotel again.

Everyone, from our first encounter with the front-desk clerk, to thewait staff, and especially the owner was exceptionally friendly andextremely helpful. Each and everyone truly made our stay at TheCathedral Hotel memorable. The breakfast, both from the menu and the self-serve, was wonderful and was included in the price of the room - truly aplus! And, those lunch and dinner selections chosen from the menu weretasty and quite reasonably priced. Truly, The Cathedral Hotel is a greatchoice for any traveler looking for a hotel in the Salisbury area!!.
Alistair  — 12.7.2011.
This was my second stay at The Cathedral Hotel this year. Second hotel stay in a city with so many options is my best recommendation. As on my previous visit, the staff, particularly the young lady on reception, could not have been more friendly and helpful. In event that business takes me back to Salisbury I will book here again without hesitation.

We enjoyed our stay at the Catheral Hotel. The food and wait staff were quite good. The location and the value for money of the hotel is great. We do recommend the Cathedral Hotel to all.

Great location on outskirts of Salisbury, but easy to get to city centerto tour cathedral, etc. The hotel (as the name suggests) is next tobeautifully maintained cricket fields, and when we checked in, a cricketmatch was quietly taking place nearby. Most pleasant stay. A Rick Stevesrecommended location also.
Rodney  — 8.2.2011.

Location and traffic: The guest house is just about 10 min walk away from the city centre, one can easily walk to/from the market place. Several buses go by the route; a bus stop is just around the corner. Taxi fare from Salisbury railway station is around 5.1~5.5 pounds. Incredible staff and atmosphrer: Absolutely first class! I wouldn't trade Rokeby for any posh hotels. Wonderful host! Room and facilities: Superb! Very quiet during the night, and wake up with the birds chirping by the windows. Very steady free wi-fi.
Clive  — 22.1.2012.
One of the best such houses we have ever stayed in. Well run B&B with good facilities, ambience and parking within reasonable (not short or pretty) walk to city centre. Owners were very helpful; room was large and well provided; breakfast excellent for non meat eaters (a welcome change) and garden is impressive. Parking is an issue in central Salisbury so to have free space was a big plus. Would recommend without hesitation as long as people are mobile - there are stairs and it is not central.
Anne  — 21.12.2011.
A lovely clean 'up market' B&B at an extremely competitive price.Breakfast was excellent quality with fresh products and beautifully presented. Wonderful owners who were attentive to detail and were very flexible and accommodating, allowing me to eat a take-a- way in my room and even provided me with a plate and knife and fork! This was much appreciated as it was a business trip and I needed maximum time to work in my room.

Very pleasent B&B and very welcoming. i only stayed for the one night as a last min decision but would certainly stay again. Great position as very close to Salisbury town centre (short walk) without feeling like your in the town. The full english was very good value for an extra L3 but the continental would certainly be ample for most.
Anonymous  — 25.7.2010.
The position was very convenient, and to have its own parking in a City like Salisbury, was great. Our room was very large and comfy, and the bed was comfy. Because of the hotels position, our stay was quiet and peaceful. We felt that we had excellent value for money, and that we were well looked after during our stay.
