I have stayed @ the inn lodge about 4/5 times when I first stayed nearly2 years ago it was a nice hotel the hotel has gone down hill big timethe rooms are awfull & need a refurb we stayed @ xmas & had 2 be movedcuz the room was in a relly bad way. they moved us & that wasnt muchbetta I then said I wouldnt stay there again but I did & I regregretdoing it. the staff told us the hotel was getting a refurb when we stayedthere @ xmas thats why we thought we would give it another go well theroom we stayed in had wallpaper falling off,locks broke on the windows,dirty pillow cases this is not acceptabl.

The Hotel was easy to find, just out of town so easy access. There wasevery thing you needed for a short stay. Food on sight was good, althoquite a wait for food to be produced to table. Staff were very politeand well trained. A budget hotel but not shoddy, we were more thanpleased at the cost. Most of the other hotels were a rediculous pricefor one overnight stay to pick up the ferry. We were very satisfied andwould stay again.

As we were travelling with a 21 month old, we did a lot of researchinto the best place to stay, both in terms of location and facilitiesfor our family. The Seacrest Hotel is a lovely, warm and welcomingindependant hotel. We travel with business and stay in corporate hotels so staying in this independant, individual hotel was a real treat and we will certainly be returning in the future. We highly recommend this hotel for business travel or holiday, as couples or family groups.

Excellent staff and the food was good. The position of the hotel is just directly across from the seafront. Great value for money as I have paid double what I paid at this hotel before in portsmouth for a lot less. When I next visit my family in the summer I will choose the seacrest hotel again.

The location of the Hotel was great and the decor in the foyer was rather nice. I chose the Seacrest as it was a hotel. When I saw the room however it was pure B&B. I checked out within an hour of checking in and drove back home abandoning my weekend off.

Very good indeed - we would be very happy to stay here again. A large, spotlessly clean and nicely furnished bedroom with two kingsize beds (ideal for us as we booked a room for two adults and one child for one night) An excellent buffet breakfast with lots of choices, and great to find a hotel that serves breakfast until 11. Helpful and courteous staff. I would say that this hotel is ideal for business travellers or for people looking to spend a few leisure days in or around Portsmouth.

I booked this hotel for myself and my partner whom was arriving homefrom a five month deployment from the Falklands on hms york. We arrivedearly just to leave our luggage the Hotel staff allowed us to check inearly which was very much appreciated ! We enjoyed our stay very muchcleanliness was 100% staff were helpful and the room was cosy andcomfortable. So impressed with bed linen and towels changed after justone night ! Would definately stay again and tell everyone about thesuperior service of the Portsmouth Marriot five stars thank you.

We were happy with our stay on B & B basis. No bus service into Portsmouth which was a bit diappointing. However, the Hotel is well positioned for visiting the sights around the area. We would give at least 8/10 for the Portsmouth Marriott.

This hotel is an excellent location for a visit to the Royal NavyMuseums at Portsmouth. The historical vessels andmuseums are just a short walk from the hotel. The ww iiD-Day Museum is a little further but quite manageable from the hotel. I had a lovely visit to the RoyalGarrison Church as well.

The hotel is primarily a Club for serving and former sailors but welcomes others to the hotel accommodation. The accommodation is simple, with en-suites but very clean and comfortable. The main thing is its location literally within yards of the entrance to Portsmouth Dockyard with its historic sites - Victory, Warrrior and Mary Rose among others. It is also an easy walk to the popular Gun Wharf Quays shopping and entertainment centre and beyond that the old part of Portsmouth.

If you are visiting Portsmouth Historic Docks, Gunwharf Quay, SpinnakerTower or using the ferries etc. The hotel isalso convenient for the the railing and bus stations. and this room is light and spacious. Iwould recommend the hotel for the location if b&b can be booked for L55but definitely not at L90 and not for the decor.

Absolutely fabulous. Was bit dubious booking this Hotel as picture on website didn’t do it any favours, so booked in advance a more expensive accommodation for our second night. Ashby’s suited us down to the ground. A bit tricky to find, but brilliantly located for seafront/IOW passenger ferry, pier, bbq’s on the green, restaurants, shops, etc.

Not very much, room was poor, breakfast was limited and very self sericeeven down to making own tea. Staff were ok public rooms ok but room wasnot good, I could not stand up properly in shower and I am only 5ft 4inso husband of 6 ft 3in had no chance, light bulb broken, room dark, verysmall, out look dirty. Would not go back. Portsmouth has a lot of hotelsto offer so they have to up their game to stay in business.

Food, room, staff, location were all excellent! We could walk to themain attractions in Portsmouth and Seaside (Ok, maybe a mile to theHistoric Dockyards, but a pleasant walk. ) Right across the street is ahuge open park -- lots of open area to run, play, walk, mini golf, skatepark, aquarium, naval monument. very nice location -- worth the troubleto find the hotel and then find a parking space!.

Having a family the convenience of staying here rather than having to book in at a hotel was great and also cheaper,my in laws where also able to stay,we have been in hotels before and it is so much hard work trying to keep the children quiet in the room or sit nicely when eating it was just a home from home !! The sky t.v helped which was great for the children as it had all the channels. Another nice thing which we didn't expect was that bread,butter and other everyday bits had been placed in the fridge,including bottles of Beer and a bottle of white and red wine. All in all the apartment was well kept and was clean and tidy,would definatly stay again.

Great apartment, clean & tidy. Wonderful views of harbour anddockyard. Shouldn't be confused with a hotel, this is self cateringaccommodation and as such was perfect for our family weekend break. Veryclose to Gunwharf Quays and Historic Dockyard so lots to see and do.

This is not a Hotel it is an appartment. It was extremely well appointed and probably the best short term rental appartment accomodation in Portsmouth. Well situated for both the Historic Docyard, shopping and train,boat and bus services.

The hotel is basic but excellent value for money and the location isideal for visiting Portsmouth and for the Continental Ferry Port. Jim,the owner, does his upmost to make sure you have a good stay, my roomwas not ensuite but the shower and toilet were nearby and the room had asink, tea/coffee making facilities, plenty of storage, freeview tv and acomfy bed. The hotel is next to main road but secondary glazingminimises the noise. The breakfast room is always open and you can helpyourself to hot drinks, cereals or toast at any time and you can use theroom to eat takeaway if required. The breakfast was excellent - fullenglish freshly cooked to order. The staff at the hotel are the best -very friendly and can't do enough to make you feel welcome, specialmention must be made of the warm greeting I received from Paul and thecheerful boost to the day from Julie and the wonderful breakfast shemakes. This is not a luxury hotel but is ideal for anyone on a budgetwho is happy with basic accomo

Unfortunately we found the hotel very poor. Property looking very tired and scruffy. Room not very clean. One of beds was totally unusable, due to state of matress. The 'residents' were VERY VERY noisy, continuing till past 3.30am. The one good thing was the breakfast which was plentifull and very nice and the lady who prepared it was very pleasent. We would not recomend this hotel to anyone, sorry

Great place to stay, not in city centre, but handy for continentalferries, and the part of Portsmouth I wanted to be located in. Withineasy walking distance of city centre and shops etc. Friendly staff, goodbreakfast nice and relaxed atmosphere. Excellent price and was verypleased with my 3 day stay. I will definitely use the hotel again if Ican get booked in! Loads of space to park as well.

We chose the duke of buckingham because we were booked onto an early morning ferry for caen, and wanted to spend a day seeing the sights and the spinikle. It was cheap accomodation and an ideal place to stay. It was a 2 min walk onto the busy wharf, and was only five min drive to the port, so making an ideal location, the only down side was, they have no breakfast facilities on site, so the cafe down the road is the only option. The room was of a good size and clean a comfortable, I have stayed in much worse.

You get what you pay for. Very much Hostel accommodation but clean, if gaudily decorated, very well positioned and cheap compared the the alternatives. I would definitely stay again as I’d rather spend my money whilst I’m awake. If you take popularity as a guide to how good something is, then this place is top of the list - it was full!.

Staff were very helpful, hostel was located reasonably close to the Historic Dockyard. Good sized lounge and dining areas. Serviceable kitchen. Some (limited) parking in front of hostel.

The chinese staff is unpleasant ! But unfortunately, it’s the only hostel there is in Portsmouth. Never staying in a hostel before I found it relaxed and catered for my and my families needs.
