The hotel is in a good location for walking to central Oxford sites in about 15 minutes. The single bed rooms are quite small, but seem cozy, rather than cramped. The bathroom was very new and clean. My room opened on an attractive courtyard with a fountain that was peaceful. There is an quaint street with several coffee shops and other sundries (grocer, garden, art shop) just across Banbury - a good option for breakfast rather than the hotel’s (which has a high price). Free parking and I got the room for 65 pounds two days before my stay (no need to use the city park and ride).

The hotel was perfect for our overnight stay. It was in a really good location with parking for the car and a 15minute walk to the city centre as well as on a good bus route. The hotel was clean and very comfortable and the service was excellent. The staff were very friendly and there was a really nice welcoming atmosphere. The bar and restaurant were pleasant with a good range of drinks and food on offer. We would certainly recommend this hotel and would book again.

My wife and I were looking for a weekend away without the kids. The hotel was a good reflection of what you would expect a good hotel to be. The staff were polite, the accomodation was clean and excellently appointed, especially the bathroom. Being so close to the river you could enjoy a pleasant walk along the towpath into Oxford and the whole place had a relaxed and pleasant ambience about it. Breakfast was first class and I would have no reservations in recommending or staying at this hotel again, this was a part birthday surprise for my wife and she was very impressed !!!.

Hawkwell House Hotel is a lovely stylish hotel situated in the delightful village of Iffley on the outskirts of Oxford There is a lovely walk along the River into Oxford itself which takes you past Iffley Lock which is beautiful. The river is busy with narrow boats, motorised cruisers and Oxford University rowing teams and makes for a very interesting walk into Oxford. The staff at the hotel are courteous and friendly and we had a great relaxing weekend break.

The hotel was clean, bright and inviting with a large well lit car park. On arrival the staff were extremely helpful advising local places toeat. I can imagine that during the football sesson that the hotel willbe noisey as it is right next door to the Kassam Stadium but ideal ifyou are going to the match. We used the local park and ride to get intooxford as this was the cheapest way and was extremely efficient. Icould not fault this hotel and the staff were always polite and pleasant.

This hotel is basic, no frills - but the staff were friendly, welcomingand helpful and the room was spotlessly clean, with comfortable beds anda good power shower! And we enjoyed the breakfast (best croissants eatenin a uk hotel for years!). The hotel is just a few minutes drive fromthe Redbridge Park and Ride and we found this a very convenient way totravel into the centre of Oxford (a city which is a nightmare forparking!).

The hotel was perfectly located for walking around Oxford City. The option to park the car at the hotel(chargable) is very useful didn’t need to use the car at all over our weekend as everywhere is so central. The rooms were very comfortable,clean and decor very tasteful as was the entire hotel. The restaurant at the hotel looked great,The High Table, and we had recommendations for this restaurant prior to our trip but had not realised this was the hotel restaurant,we had already.

The hotel was rather difficult to find. I had downloaded instructions but the map pin-pointing of the hotel was not good and it is difficult to read street direction when one is driving. [I have just received a L60 fine for being on a bus lane on High Street, but did not know how else to find the location of the hotel] Apart from that and now that I know where it is, the Eastgate met my requirements very well.

The hotel is in a fantastic location around the corner from Oxford High Street. There’s also a carpark. Though you have to pay, it is very useful and convenient since it’s so hard to park in Oxford. The room was a good size by British standards.

it was not a hotel but a bed sit a student bed sit which was a bit small it was very handy for Oxford City Centre nice bathroom but had no bedside drawers to put things in the television did not work . we did not think it was value for money .

After comparing lots of hotels and B&B in Oxford, they all are very expensive. We found this little family run B&B, very central, and very close to the station. We arrived friday evening late around 20.00. The owner, Marie was waiting for us, gave us a little tour and showed us our room. We paid £70 per night and received a big room with an ensuite bathroom. The room was really spacious, very clean and nicely decorated. It was very quiet at night.... In the morning we received a beautiful full English breakfast and as many toast as we wanted. Marie and her husband were very attentive and helpfull..... After staying mostly in 3 star hotels, this little gem (2 star) is absolutely worth booking.

Having arrived in Oxford by coach/bus an hour earlier than planned, we asked the owners of the B& B if we could leave our luggage even though we were too early for our room to be ready. Our host was so pleasant about the whole thing, I was impressed. We were able to go explore Oxford without the hassle of carrying our luggage. Our room was quiet and clean, the beds were comfortable. The English breakfast was great. Wish we could have stayed longer than one night. The B&B is within walking distance of the coach/bus station, the train station and the car rental agency.

The hotel is tidy, well located (bus connection to the city center, or about 20 min walking along a street with many restaurants). The was no noise from the street despite the road under the window. Breakfast is fine. I do recommend the hotel if you stay for several days in Oxford and do not bother taking bus to reach the city center.

Perhaps not bad for this price, but if you want a romantic break in Oxford you may probably want to spend a bit more and find hotel at a better neighbourhood and of a bit higher quality. Good for budget holiday if you don’t care of beauty and superior clearness and need just place where to sleep. Continental breakfast was good. Staff good - came in 5 once we phoned him that we are near the door.

It was close to my daughter's oxford college St Anne's - staff extremelyhelpful, breakfast lovely - no black pudding though! Their commitment toupgrade the rooms 1st class , our room was being improved next week butreally was very good standard for the price. Great tv with all digitalchannels and teletext (better than Thistle hotels in London I was atprevious week).

Parklands is easy to find, has plenty of parking for residents and a very pleasant garden. It is ideally situated for the city of Oxford with frequent buses stopping nearby. Also it is just a short walk to Summertown where there are resyaurants, pub and shops. The hotel is smart and very comfortable and the breakfast was very good.

The Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The Hotel was in easy reach of the city and other interesting places and shops that you could walk to or catch a bus.
