Sway Manor Hotel Lymington: Good value, Superb dining, Excellent service.
Jane  — 19.12.2011.
We have just returned from a very enjoyable weekend in New Forest. Booked Sway Manor Restaurant and Hotel as we were looking for somewhere in the New Forest where we could take our little cocker spaniel too. Everyone in the Hotel were professional, friendly and very welcoming. Our room was spotless and very comfortable. We decided to eat in the Restaurant in the evening and were very impressed with the standard of food and again the staff's willingness to help and advise us. We were very pleased that we ate there and the price of our meal including drinks was very reasonable. On Sunday morning we walked up the road to the Forest (it is only 10 minutes walk away) and stopped off at Sway Deli for a lovely coffee - highly recommended too !

The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming and efficient. Asked forblanket on bed in advance and request had been carried out which showedthey were trying to please guests. Room modern and neat and all hotelvery clean, nice smell of polish everywhere. Also made room availablefor us to change as our room was not quite ready.

We wanted somewhere in the New Forest for a weeks rest and relaxation. I hadn't stayed at Westover Hall before but looking on Booking.com I got a good deal for the week - only 80 pounds per night for bed and breakfast when the hotels charges showed it to be between 160 and 270 per night. The hotel is right on the seafront so the view from the breakfast room over to the Needles off the Isle of Wight was lovely. We were blessed with very good weather for the whole week and, although Milford on Sea looked pretty quiet this week in October, Lymington town was only a short drive away. We decided to eat out each night rather than at the hotel for a bit of variety, however breakfast was more than adequate so assume the evening meals would have been the same. The hotel wasn't full any of the nights we stayed, hence the deal I suppose, but the staff were welcoming and friendly. Our room was nice with all the usual stuff and the bed was comfy. Everything in the room and bathroom worked with no

I stayed at the hotel with my mum as were attending a conference justdown the road. We were both delighted with our choice and were veryimpressed with the hotel, loved the old building and the contempory feelthe rooms had. We arrived after 9pm so we were going to be a little latefor dinner but the staff were more than happy to accomodate ourrequirements and prearranged a platter for us when we arrived, which waslovely! The staff were all very helpful and couldn't have done more toaccomdate our requirements.

I thought the Westover Hall Hotel was a lovely mansion, the photo does not do it justice at all. The staff were very friendly and as it was Christmas time, the hotel was very festive with all the decorations up. I'd definitely stay there again. Just one thing to be aware of - the hotel has 2 rosettes for 'fine dining', and although the food was lovely, the portions at dinner were small.

I came for a weekend away with my husband and my experience at the Macdonald Elmers was fantastic. We arrived on a day when there was a big wedding going on at the hotel and even though they had a huge wedding to contend with the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Our room was well appointed and clean, and it was detached from the main building so it felt like we were in a holiday resort rather than a hotel. The facilities were great and the swimming pool (both outside and inside) were warm and l.

The only thing we enjoyed about the hotel was our spa experience. Wewere very disappointed by everything else and would not recommend thehotel to anybody we know. We did fill out the form that was left in theroom with our complaints.
