The hotel is within easy driving distance of many attractions and local beauty spots to name a few Brecon Beacons National Park, Elan Valley, Red Kite feeding centre, Royal Welsh Showground and within the town indoor and outdoor bowling, Radnorshire Museum, Pump Room and Rock Park, Llandrindod Wells lake and the National Cycle Museum. Transportation Directions to Hotel car-park Coming from the North take the A483 to Llandrindod Wells, and as you enter the town take the second exit on the roundabout and continue until you pass the hospital on the left hand side. We thought the staff were helpful and friendly. The terrace is lovely in front of the hotel and it is nice to sit there looking over to Temple Gardens. The location of the hotel is excellent. We would return to this hotel at a later date.

Prompt, friendly and efficient service from all staff. The hotel is quiet and thought is given to room allocation: private guests seem to be allocated rooms away from the coach parties and the entertainment, thus ensuring quiet. This is the second time I have stayed at the Glen Usk and I have not been disturbed at all on either occasion by noise from inside or outside the hotel. Rooms are warm and comfortable.

I always felt relaxed at the hotel and this is important if you arestaying somewhere as a lone guest. The staff are very pleasant and Iwould stay here again in the near future. The poor reviews on this hotelare not justified it is a lovely Victorian building in a very nice town.

Staying at the Metropole is like staying two totally different hotels rolled into one! The shabby not so chic and the funky modern. However the rest of the hotel is hanging in there on a faded former victorian splender.

The Metropole has been completley modernised and is now clearly a good 4 star hotel and is ideally in the centre of the town, with a large car park to the rear. We went with friends and we all found the rooms to be of a very high standard. The food in the Bistro was of the highest quality, with a wide range of interesting and attractive meals. We can fully recommend this Hotel for couples and Families.

The courtesy and ready assistance of all the Staff. Everything in thehotel worked well - no breakdowns etc. ! The facilities were first classand the hotel was central for visits to places of interest. We receivedan excellent Welsh welcome !.

We arrived at Three Wells in glorious sunshine and the location was idyllic. The hotel was fronted by a lovely little lake with swans and ducks and lots of bats flying around at dusk. It was so peaceful with no road noise at all. There were three in our party and we were having an overnight stay to celebrate my mother-in-laws 85th birthday. She unfortunately tripped as soon as we arrived and had to go off to the Minor Injuries Unit for some attention, but the hotel staff were very helpful. The owners had only taken over the running of the hotel earlier in the year and, although they had made a good start on renovations, they admitted that there was still some way to go but our rooms were really nice and overlooked the lake. There was a good bar/lounge area where we enjoyed a bottle of wine before bed. We chose not to eat in the hotel restaurant, but only because I am on a diet and, although there was a very good choice of food, it was all very pub grub style and there was reall

This hotel is managed by a family group of young people whose ambitionis to develop a first class hotel. They took over the hotel in February2011, and have already made a good start in achieving their aim. Basedon a farmhouse, the building had already been extended and has about 18rooms. The hotel is well signposted on the outskirts of a village, andthus has a lovely rural setting. The front of the building overlooks anattractive lake. It proved to be a good centre for exploring mid-Walesand the Engish-Welsh border country.

The owners were really lovely and couldn't have been more helpful andfriendly. Despite being reasonabily small the hotel has a bar and servesfood which was very good and all home cooked. Also there is a pub thatserves food and a Thai restaurant just half a mile away. The Hotel isdown a quiet country lane and the owners advised us on pretty walks fromthe hotel.
