Allthough from the outside it looks like some motel in a harboutarea, the hotel is very well equiped and the rooms are not of 3* butof 4* standard - and the prices for these very nice rooms are verymoderate indeed.

The hotel was very good value for money. The staff were flexible and accomodating for a group who were staying different nights and in different rooms. We left early on Sunday and I appreciated being offered a cup of coffee by the receptionist when I found out we would not be getting breakfast because it wasn’t open for another hour. Many hotels would not have done this.

The room allocated was spacious and generally no noise could be heard from the passer-byes. However, as we were on the second floor directly above the main entrance to the hotel, now and again we could hear in the distance a general murmur of the persons who go outside the hotel for a smoke. They should be asked to move further along the building.
Emma  — 8.6.2010.
The staff were fantastic, very helpful and knowledgeable in giving us directions and information regarding Belfast. The room was bigger, cleaner and generally nicer than those of say Holiday Inn or Travelodge. Great location as well, very quick and easy to get from place to place from the hotel.

We have stayed in many hotels termed ’budget’ but this is genuinely the best hotel we have experienced in years. Puts many 4 / 5 star hotels to shame in regards to cleanliness & polite, helpful staff. No hesitation in recommending.

Your staff at the front desk were very friendly, polite and efficient. The hotel porter overnight was a gentleman. We arrived back to the hotel and were locked out as the front door was locked. We stay in Belfast every three weeks and usually stay in other hotels in the city however, we will now stay at the Balmoral.
