I stayed with my mother as we were visiting family and friends. We sawthe hotel on the channel 4 programme and we liked the fact that we couldbring our dog with us for the visit. I am amazed the lack ofaccommodation in the lake district for pets.I Really liked the hotel therooms were very nice and comfortable. The staff were very friendly andgoing forward we will book up again when we come up tp the lakes again.

staff were very polite, room was excellent, food was worth the money and the beer was the best iv tasted. Wayne the manager even took time out of his busy day to speak to us. would definitely go back .... loved it!!!

It was a lovely and smashing stay we had ,the staff were really great nothing was to much for them,the food was very good a good choice of foods on menu,we really enjoyed a nice relaxing five days holiday great ,and we have recomended the hotel to our friends. room was nice and clean ,bed comfotable, thank you.

Very comfortable clean and quiet hotel. Excellent food and good service all round, staff welcoming and pleasant. Have booked again to go xmas shopping, location good for Kendal and within walking distance. Will be recommending to friends and family.

The hotel was"upmarket" but still friendly. Staff had time for you and were genuinely helpul. It was also in a nice quiiet location on the edge of Kendal, but close enough to walk in. Also good situation for exploring the southern Lake District.

We received a very warm welcome and staff were generally friendly and helpful, some exceptionally so. Very refreshing and always something we look for in a hotel. The hotel is only a couple of minutes from the M6 but you wouldn’t know it. We will probably return if staying in the area again.

The staff at Crooklands are second to none. Nothing was too much trouble from photocopying walking maps to printing out vouchers to some of the local sites. On arrival I was worried we were too far out from Kendal but this hotel is in an ideal position for touring touring the lakes and visiting many of the stately homes.

I went thwre to relax, and that i did, all the staff had time to talk, and where very helpfull. First day i decided to eat out, but oncw i ate in at the hotel, i ate ther all the time, food was great and value for money. I would recomend to everyonr to try thos hotel.

Good location in the centre of Kendal by the railway station. Friendlystaff a very good value older 2* hotel. Very good english breakfast. Forme its in a perfect position close to the centre and is very good nofrills value for money accommodation.

The position of the hotel was excellent - placed within the town, but at one end of it. This made it easy to explore the town. The hotel and rooms were very comfortable. The air-conditioning a little cold, but it was easy to turn off. We were at one end of the hotel, which meant a bit of a trek to get down to reception, etc. Would have appreciated being nearer the centre of the building. Were able to park outside (public car-parking). The continental breakfast was very good, and our evening meal a bit pub-foodish, but very adequate. Altogether a very good stay. Would be happy to visit Kendal/Premier Inn again.

Location was difficult to find. However, when found it was a modernbuilding and the facilities were as expected. The hotel and bedroomswere clean. The position was central to the town. The staff were verypleasant and helpful. They had good local knowledge. A good menu in therestaurant. The evening choices were good but could do with a re-vamp.It would be useful to have dietary information on the menu cards. Thebreakfast was particularly good value with good choices.

On arrival the gentleman on reception who looked like Jim Bowen (of tvfame) was absolutley fabulous in how he handled everything with such aneager and friendly manner. The rooms were great, the staff wereexcellent and the only draw back is the parking area. I must also admitwe were lost ion arrival in Kendal, and ''Jim Bowen'' guided us in overthe phone. Never in my travels have I experienced such service.

The apartment is strictly non smoking and no provision is made for ANY pets! As well as being an historic south lakeland market town, Kendal has a fine reputation for shopping, with lots of independent traders as well as big high street names.

To be honest we didn’t expect B&B to be that nice, clean, confortable, enough space in the room, the pricewise is very good too, considering it was peak season for the Lake District. The main thing abot the hotel is the way they welcome you there. Location is good if you want to walk within town Kendal. Still one must have a car there if you want to explore the Lake District.

We booked 2 nights at Balcony House and were given a warm welcome. This may be classed as a B&B but it would beat most hotels hands down for value. Mandy and Brian were so helpful and understanding and our thanks go out to them. We will definitely return soon.
