The hotel’s location is very good. Hotel itself is ’tired’ and needsupgrading. This is not a hotel which ought tobe charging L100 per night, particularly when there is little chance ofgetting a river view room. Breakfast was also very nice.
Rebecca  — 4.5.2010.
We found the staff were excellent at the hotel - reception was verywelcoming and the breakfast staff were lovely and helpful. There was agood selection at breakfast something for everyone! The Hotel is in anexcellent location - just a few mins walk to the town centre, yet farenough away to feel as though you were in the country. The settingoverlooking the river is beautiful. There is a major problem with the lack of parking (9 spaces max). Thishotel is adjacent to the Railway station which can become a littleannoying if you wanted some peaceful rest in your allocated room. Thehotel is somewhat dated in decor and this shows once you are on thebedroom floors/corridors. I gather that there have been other guests who were no.
Mubarak  — 14.2.2010.
The best thing I guess about this hotel is its location. It is locatedon the door step of Inverness main train station. As the location is the best pro for this hotel,it is also a con. I wasn’t able to find a parking lot for my car thenext morning and have had to park a little far from the hotel.
Anonymous  — 10.12.2010.
This is a grand old Victorian hotel with an impressive staircase, beautiful lounge area and many paintings depicting Scottish scenesthroughout the hotel. The room was large, clean and quiet with two largetwin beds. The bathroom was also much larger than in standard hotelrooms. The hotel is located next to Inverness Railway Station, which isideal for travellers by train.

We had a King Deluxe Room wich was recently refurbished, overlooking theRiver Ness, just as they have promissed!! The room was indeed king size,so was our bed, and our teenage son had an ieka camping bed that wasvery confortable; the bathroom has shower and bathtub, the toiletteriesare Neutrogena and I loved them. The Hotel is very well placed, justacross the cathedral, very close to the Inverness Castle and thepedestrian shopping area so. Although, I must warn you that the Hotel Reception area and the stairsleading to our room are not.
Anonymous  — 28.9.2010.
We booked our 2 night stay through 2 different websites choosing 2 different rooms and on our arrival the staff changed our accommodation to ensure we did not have to move out one room to another. All staff in the hotel were helpful and friendly. Only downside is a cooked breakfast is made to order and we had to wait 30 minutes for ours, however the menu does warn you of the delay and, indeed, it is worth the wait. We highly recommend this hotel and intend to return:).
Anthony  — 19.1.2011.

The hotel is an architectural disaster. The hotel was clearly built in the late 60s or 70s and it shows. The improvements are superficial and can not hide the hotels failings. The room that we stayed in ( offered as a suite!) had a tiny bathroom with no layout space for toiletries/toilet bags and a shower over bath tha.

Booked a weeks stay in the apartment. Was extremely happy with the location of the apartment, had secure private parking and was close to town centre restaurants and shopping. It's a much better option than a hotel with full kitchen facilities, so you can cook yourself a propper meal. Big flat screen tv in the large comfortable lounge area and tv in bedroom with comfortable double bed. Balcony and a great shower. Owner was pleasant helpfull accomodating. Apartment was well maintained and had a mondern conteporty feel. Altogether a great place to stay and in a pleasant location next to the river. Would recommend every time a much better option than the even the best hotels around. Well done keep up the high standards. Thank you Andy (Lancashire).
