Hotel is undergoing some refurbishment at the moment but we found thisdid not interfere with our stay, and we were aware of it ahead ofarrival. This was the first nightof our honeymoon and so they upgraded us free of charge to one of theirsuites which was fantastic, and left a card in the room too which was anice touch. We had a nice meal in the hotel restaurant and the staffunderstood and catered for my wife’s wheat allergy with ease. Willdefinitely be staying there again.

We’ve stayed here many times before and never cease to be amazed by the outstanding location and the fantastic view. The breakfast is good value, and the staff are very professional and attentive. The hotel has a classic splendour about it and may have seen better days, in some areas, but haven’t we all?!.
Malcolm  — 8.1.2011.
Great location for dogs, lovely swimming pool, spa, sauna, jaccusi, steamroom, gym. Good views from front and back of hotel, very close to sea. Tennis courts very accessible along with olf course. All in all I wouldgive this hotel 9 out of ten.

We booked for a much needed break and initially booked on price and thelocation for the sea view. We were so pleased with the reception we gotvery warm friendly and accommodating. The room exceeded our expectationsvery clean, the bathroom had a good shower no mould and clean showercurtain. The towels and bed sheets were pristine and we were able torelax in our room over looking the sea view. The hotel itself needs alittle refurbishment and is very quaint. I would not recommend thishotel if you have a disabled person with you as the hall ways and liftare too small. The food was good and fresh. We were very happy with theBest Western and would stay again if we could have the same room.
Diane  — 27.1.2012.
I had a wonderful stay at the Stade Court Hotel. The location was perfect. It was great to look out onto the beach from my window. The proprietors were very hospitable and eager to make sure our stay was a good one. The hotel food was very good. the room was clean and spacious. We were travelling with a small child and the staff was very helpful. I would stay there again.

I booked the hotel to go to a friends wedding so the 24 hour reception was perfect, and the fact that breakfast was open until 10am was handy too. It's really close to the beach and looks out over the sea even if you're on the first floor. The size of the rooms were great and the en suite was big too.

We stayed there for one night as hotel is within two miles of ChannelTunnel Ferry. Once beyond the notice the staff werefriendly and efficient, we were shown to a small but very clean andfreshly painted bedromm at the back of the hotel. We decided to try theirmenu and were looked after extremely well, advice on food choices freelygiven and enjoyed an excellent meal. We prebooked.
Emma  — 28.10.2010.
The staff at this hotel were excellent at making sure that I was happy during my stay, and welcomed any questions. As there was a restaurant in the hotel itself, my boyfriend and I received excellent service when eating there one evening, and although a couple were eating there at the beginning (and not staying at the hotel), I still believed that we received a slightly better service than they did on the basis that we were staying at this hotel. Although the room was not perhaps 5* accommodation, I never really worried about this as the hotel is a comfortable 3*-4* in my eyes. I had a fantas.

Activities / Services: Golf Course (within 3 km), Non-Smoking Rooms, Ironing Service, Free Parking, Internet Services, Wi-Fi/Wireless LAN, Gay Friendly ... Normally when travelling to/from France we choose to stay at a hotelchain. This was an independant hotel and was full of charm, it was dogfriendly and a popluar meeting place for the village in which it wassituated. The location is not far from the channel tunnel or Dover portand the village itself is a charming place to stroll around. Don’t let other reviews about the being a lack of car parkingspace for the hotel itself put you off - there is parking in the streetsaround the hotel, I felt quite at eas.
Nigel  — 13.5.2010.
The room was very comfortable, clean and the staff were veryaccommodating. I would recommend this hotel for this because ofits location. Pretty little village location about 10 minutes away fromthe tunnel. We arrived to the hoteljust in time to get a well earned pint because its a pub also, lovelyand refreshing after driving 180 miles and a good nightcap.
Robyn  — 27.7.2010.
Absoultely loved this hotel, the staff were so helpful. We were snowed in and the owners daughter went out of her way to accommodate us for another night, even one of the hotel staff offered to follow us down to the ferry to make sure we made the journer. Our was room was freshly painted and clean, the food was great. We would loved to come back to stay in this very quaint hotel.

We have stayed at Seabrook House before and really enjoyed it. We chose to go there again as we love the location at good value for money. The hotel has been re furbished since we last stayed there and it is a great improvement. We liked our comfortable room which had also been redecorated as incidentally it was the same room as our previous visit. The staff are very good, friendly and welcoming. The hotel is a 10 minute walk into the town centre, and as we use public transport to get around it is very helpful that the bus stops just outside the doors in both directions. Buses are very regular and also very good value for money.
Jennifer  — 20.1.2012.
The accommodation was very comfortable and clean. Access was excellentwith no restrictions on comming and going. Parking facilities were verygood. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. They served an excellentbreakfast and the tea & coffee making facilities in room were plentiful.I would not hesitate to recommend a stay here to others.

The Seabrook House was very pleasant, clean and comfortable with helpfulstaff. We stayed during a cycling holiday and we were able toaccommodate our bikes securely at the back of the hotel. The hotel wasonly a fifteen minute walk from Hythe town centre, which has plenty ofeateries - we found an excellent fish restaurant.

I have stayed an a large number of hotels and some pub hotels. All pubhotels have been poor until we stayed at the Red Lion. The rooms werebasic but very clean and in good condition. The bathrooms wereexcellent, an area that lets down many hotels. They were cleaned to avery high standard. The bed was comfortable, the room was warm, toiletries were all in place as was coffee and tea. The food we ate was very good and the breakfast was excellent with good quality ingredients, good coffee and a wide selection of additional food options over and above the standard full English. The staff were friendly and welcoming.
Brian  — 10.2.2012.
we stayed at the Red Lion Hythe so we good visit Howletts Zoo and Port Lympne Wildlife park which we did on seperate days. We then decided to stay on another two days making five days in total as the weather was so good. We also used the buses to visit Folkstone and Canterbury. Taking into consideration you are staying in a pub, staff were friendly, Food was good, we enjoyed our stay and would go back there again.also your only fifteen minutes walk from the sea and Hythe has a quaint high street.
Debi  — 11.1.2012.
Stayed here as a friend and I were having a spa day locally and couldn'tafford the hotel where the spa was. We were very happy and would stayhere again, the only downside was that there was no one at the hoteluntil after 6pm on the day of our arrival, although we were informed ofthis on the day. Our info had said check in between 11-5 so this meantwe had to go shopping around the town to waste some time following ourspa, but then us girls never mind some retail therapy!

The place is over 500 years old, and looking at the height of the door frames, I would guess that to be correct. I felt like I was staying in a museum, and I mean that in a good way. It was really cool sitting there thinking that people had been staying in the same room I was in for the past few hundred years. The hotel faces a really nice little square on one side, and looks out over Canterbury Cathedral and its surrounding yard on the other. Its a great location for exploring the town, and the prevalence of the Star Bucks right under the hotel made my friends happy they were able to connect history with 21st century consumerism.
Damiano  — 4.12.2011.
The rooms and the hotel in general were very comfortable and good looking. From the window, we could see the famous Canterbury Cathedral which is actually adjacent to the hotel itself. The breakfast included in the price was served directly in the room, but it is also possible to have it in the common dining room. The toilets and the showers were very clean.
Kirsty  — 11.1.2012.
The staff were good, the best breakfast ever in a hotel dot on the timeordered ! Brilliant, but the hotel is very dated,The shower was dredfulmould around tiles and mastic and scale in the shower head, awful softfurnishings ! But still reasonably clean,i would use it again, but itcould be so much better with a little money spent.
