My party of three couples were accomodated with a room in which to change upon our early arrival without any fuss. The receptionist was extremely courteous and helpful which was pleasing because we had a tight schedule, in order to catch a train to Newbury Racecourse. We didnt return to the hotel until after midnight but the night receptionist completed the remaining booking without much fuss. Liked the hotel and will definately be going back with friends to explore Hungerford.

I knew the hotel as it was and liked it, but I did also like the re-modernisation. Position near the river very pleasant, also Hungerford is not far off motorway, handy. It is a very historic hotel, so read up before setting off, makes the stay more interesting. Got a bargain on price so that’s the main reason I stayed here.

The Hotel was easy to find - although the car park was a little more difficult. The staff were excellent - all have been seriously trained to put the customer first. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble, all staff were friendly, efficient, and extremely helpful. The hotel is very well appointed and out room was beautiful, very clean and comfortable. Outside there was a lovely BBQ area and some wonderful flowering pots giving an excellent splash of colour. Sunday lunch was plentiful, the beef being cooked just the way I liked it, although the food could have been warmer. Overall it is more than worthy of the AA 3 stars. Would definately stay again.

The staff were excellent from the moment we arrived they were helpful enthusiastic and professional. The hotel was clean and tidy and tastefully decorated throughout. Food was mouth watering and the whole atmosphere was great. The only possible negative was the lady who "sang" in the court yard on Sunday evening. She was terrible and you couldn't get away from her without leaving the hotel for the evening. Even with that in mind I would recommend the three swans to anyone for a great weekend away

The hotel was centrally located within Hungerford and offered good value for money. The staff were very pleasant and the hotel appeared very popular for eating.

Bottled water in the room was much appreciated. Bedding and towels were spotlessly clean. 15 minute walk to Readingrailway station - ideal for day trip to London. Although I have put"Rate" as reason for choosing this hotel, the reviews regarding thecleanliness were a major factor in my decision.

The old building was lovely, wooden beams and wonky flooring. Breakfast was really good, and the location is very good for getting into central Reading, yet the hotel is hidden down a small road giving it a country feel. The bed was comfortable and the shower was powerful. There is free Wireless Internet for all guests, so all the major boxes were ticked.
Stuart  — 4.1.2011.
With out doubt the best part of our visit to this Hotel has to be the service, and the friendly staff, they were outstanding. We could have chated for hours to all of them. Because of their friendly welcome, we would return one day.
Sally  — 27.5.2010.
