Lovely olde worlde hotel. Helpful staff. Restaurant menu definitely gourmet, could do with a cheaper every day bar menu for those just wanting a quick bite to eat. Having said that the food was of a high standard and would suit special occasion dining or romantic weekend break.

Travelling from the ferry terminal at Folkestone to Cornwall, it was a convenient location to stop for the night. We knew for having stayed therebefore that Hindon is a charming village.

The ambience in the hotel, the friendly service in the bar and restaurant. The beautifully decorated bedrooms. The history and picture postcard aspect of the hotel.

The hotel is well situated, being two miles approx from the city centre,so the taxi fares are very reasonable. There are anumber of restaurants in the area, particularly the Batheaston RiversideRestaurant, which provide every type of food, cooked exceptionally well, serving families and individuals alike. I cannot fault the BailbrookLodge Hotel for courtesy, cleanliness, excellent breakfasts, andexcellent accommodation. Would recomme.
Steve  — 15.1.2011.
Bailbook Lodge is a beautiful old manor house and gardens on the edge of Bath. You need to drive or take a bus or taxi to get into the center of Bath from this hotel but it is still very convenient. The rooms were clean, confotable and well furnished in the style of the hotel. The rooms were on the lower level of the Hotel and were noisy at times with people walking through the dinning room and sitting room above.
Keith  — 20.11.2010.
The hotel was very comfortable and the all the staff were very friendlyand accommadating. Car parking was very flexible and we were allowed toleave the car in the grounds for the rest of the day after we hadchecked out. Bath is a 30 minute walk from the hotel passing someinteresting antique shops. Or if you prefer buses run frequently intoBath from near the hotel.

The hotel was simply an overnight stop on our way home but the room andbreakfast was everything I would expect from a hotel of that standard. Unfortunately I left my i-pod under my pillow and did not realize untilseveral hours after we left. I ’phoned the hotel and it was found andsent to me immediately - very good service.

Hotel well situated for Salisbury shops and cathedral, just a 10-15 minute walk by the river. The staff were friendly and the evening meal good value. The breakfast was ok but not the best full English I’ve ever had. This didn’t spoil my stay though and I’d recommend Milford Hall Hotel.

The hotel is well located next to the train station and within easy walking distance of the main attractions, pubs and restaurants. The hotel bar seemed nice but shut at 11pm before we had a chance to sample anything. We had no trouble with noise from the station or streets below despite being located in a somewhat busy area near the station. Despite what some other reviews have said we thought that the full english breakfas.

I stayed at the Royal as the last leg of a tiring trip. My included breakfast was really good and I had two other meals therethat were high quality, fresh and delicious. The location was perfecttoo, directly across from the train station - a blessing since I had toget my luggage to and from the train on my own. The City Bus servicestop is right outside the hotel as well and it’.
Patricia  — 22.3.2011.
I have stayed at the Royal Hotel in Bath on previous occasions and found this time, as always, the staff were helpful, considerate and ready to do what ever we required to make our stay ’just right’. The food was better than ever, although the term ’Gourmet’ is perhaps a little too strong for what is well cooked food with a little extra to make it special. The Hotel is in a very convenient position, close to the shops and although my room was facing the railway station (albeit on the third floor ) I heard no trains. The gulls were the only noise that we could hear.
