The Hotel staff were attentive and friendly to our needs. The food in the Restaurant was absolutely fantastic - I have no complaints about this Hotel. The position of the Hotel being conveniently near to Harrogate town centre suited our needs very well -yet at the same time it was quiet at night time.

Deena  — 17.8.2010.
We were extremely impressed as they appear to run 2 very different concepts to the hotel very successfully - they run the hotel very much as a business for the exhibition centre - hiring out the conference rooms to various businesses - but as ’ holiday makers ’ we did not feel that this side of the hotel impinged on our relaxation or enjoyment - we were made to feel extremely welcome - the staff were extremely friendly and obliging - our room was exquisite, full of character, and beautifully clean - just like the hotel. Our stay was magical and we will definitely be returning.
Diane  — 1.12.2010.
The club room we were given was large, bright and very comfortable. Thestaff at the hotel were both friendly and helpful. The centre ofHarrogate was a short walk away but if prefered there was a 36 busservice from just outside the hotel that ran every 15mins and also wentto and from the station. The Hotel building is spacious and the liftworked well. There was plenty of car parking and the hotel is set wellback from the road so traffic noise was not a problem.
Michael  — 18.1.2011.
Stayed here for one night. Well located near Harrogate town centre. The hotel would have been good in its prime but a little past its ’ sell by date’ The room was large and clean and the hotel had a lovely atmosphere with a hen party and wedding at the hotel, but the noise was never excessive. Altogether a good experience at a very reasonable price.

I can’t say we really enjoyed our stay , the car parking I’s shocking there was no where near enough spaces for the rooms they where providing , and when we got to the hotel we were told our room was no longer available and we had a choice of a single bed room or 2 single bedded rooms , now baring in mind I had paid depoist for this room I was not happy at all. The lift on the hotel was tiny only enough for max 2 people , the rooms where not what they appeared to be on the website. I was not impressed by this hotel at all and I will not be retuning to the hotel again neither will I recommend.
Alan  — 12.7.2010.
Although we had a lovely time in Harrogate and our stay at the st georges hotel was comfortable we feel that there is room for improvement. The car parking is dreadful, there is no disabled parking and the car park in general is not big enough for the size of the hotel, the cleanliness of the bedroom was not very good, although the beds were spotless all around it and under it were very dusty and rubbish underneath, the furniture in the room had not been moved for some time either as you could clearly see the build up of dust around it.
Eileen  — 12.6.2010.
The Location of the hotel was excellent as the Train station is only a short walk away. Arriving too early for check in but needing somewere to freshen up and change for a wedding we were attending,. the Hotel receptionist kindly allowed us to use the facilities of the Leisure cente. The room we had reserved was a Twin room that was very clean and spacious. The Breakfast was very well prepared and tasty I would .recomend this Hotel to all.

The old Swan was perfectly situated for exploring Harrogate and the surrounding area. The hotel itself was old but it did have lots of character in a rather faded kind of way. The hotel staff were pleasant and very helpful especially those on reception. All in all we did have a very nice weekend at the Old Swan and would certainly stay there again.
Anne  — 27.6.2011.
We have stayed here twice before because we love Harrogate and the location and splendour of the hotel. However on the pervious occasions we found the service below par and staff rude or unhelpful. We decided to give it one more try and so glad we did because we didn’t know that the hotel is now owned by a different company and what a difference in service and the coutesy and helpfulness of staff - they are all a credit the current management and culture obviously embedded.
Barry  — 23.4.2010.
Friendly staff. Excellent location within sight of Royal Pump Room andcentre of shopping and other Harrogate attractions. Public rooms ofhotel have a splendid historiacal ambience - the breakfast room is aclassic and the interior of the conservatory ballroom is mostattractive. We decidedagainst our first choice hotel as it didn’t have its own parking space.

This was a treat for a retirement weekend. These apartments are chique, funky and comfortable. They are ideally situated for a Saturday eveningout in Harrogate (which ended with an interesting visit to Hales Bar!!). Ilike an apartment rather than an hotel as there is more chance to relaxand no demands about a time for breakfast!.
Royston  — 16.7.2011.
My apartment was spotless. Really well maintained and tastefullyfurnished. It provided good sized rooms with plenty of space to work andrelax. The noise of traffic outside was a little evident but that couldbe because I am not normally a town or city dweller. I would definitelyrecommend these apartments for a stay in Harrogate.

The apartment was lovely, and right in the centre of Harrogate soperfect for a girly weekend away!. The location and the freedom of apartment compared to hotel room and they were much more spacious.

It suited our needs well as I was visiting with my elderly mother and mysister was here from the usa. The position was excellent for the centreof town with parks around for walks and hotels and bars within 5-10minutes of the apartment. Everything was well set out and equipped. The decor was excellent and well thought through. Parking was right outside and very convenient with a parking pass provided. Easy access with very good description of entry etc.
Anonymous  — 26.11.2011.
We chose to stay in the apartment over a hotel as we had a 6-week old baby in tow and did not fancy the limited space of a hotel room. The apartment exceeded our expectations on all scores. Not only was it excellent value, but also spacious, tastefully decorated and in a perfect location (great little shops, 5-10min walk from Conference centre/citycentre and right next to the Valley Gardens). I would highly recommend this apartment.
Anonymous  — 22.11.2011.
Perfect - I arrived late and a key was left for me in a key box, by a very helpful member of staff. The apartment was clean with all the facilities you would need. The location is great - right near the middle of Harrogate and in the morning I was able to lie in until 9, as there were none of the morning noises that you can get when staying in a hotel. The place was also spotlessly clean.

We were sent comprehensive instructions regarding directions to the apartment and getting access (as there were no staff available on the Sunday we arrived). We found and gained entry with no problem. The Apartment itself was clean, spacious and nicely decorated. Location was central Harrogate, just minutes from Betty's Tea room and the conference centre. Free Wifi access, what's not to like? We had a great time and would stay here again.

Beautiful appartment amazing location perfect for a romantic break or weekend away with friends. Felt like home from home well equipped kitchen with basics provided. You may need to be fit to get to the top floor I had a baby and pregnant friend was a bit of a hike but worth it when you go to the top. Will probably book a lower floor next time though!!. Highly reccomended.

It should be advertised as bed/breakfast definately not a hotel & should not be advertised as one. we waited 10 minutes in reception area for someone to come hense then having to phone a number to get them to come which was another 5 mins wait, the room was not ready until 4pm that day which i found apalling as we were on a business trip to the Bridal show across the road they did acomodate us by taking our bags in. it is surposed to be a hotel and hotel rooms are ready from 11am.
