Everything at the hotel was fantastic. The staff were friendly and helpfull, couldn’t do enough for us. The setting of the hotel is beautiful and it has been sunny everytime we have visited!! The food and service is faultless. There was a couple who enjoyed it so much they were trying to book for another two nights, which says a lot.

This was by far the most agreeable hotel in which I have stayed over the past two weeks touring in UK. The hotel is spotless, and friendly, in a well groomed garden setting and in a convenient location. Dining is excellent, and the included breakfast wholesome.

We were attending a wedding and were recommended to Maitlandfield House by Mother of the Bride. We found the hotel to be ideal for location, bed and breakfast and very near to Haddington town centre. We enjoyed our stay very much,.

Within 30 minutes of arriving I felt completely relaxed at letham house. The snug with the fire was the perfect spot to unwind after the trip anda long week at work. The room was exquisitely decorated and Barbara andChris made us feel very much at home immediately. The grounds arebeautiful and it is a nice walk into the town, Haddington. We didn'thave dinner at Letham House so can't comment, but I would highlyrecommend this for a relaxing weekend in a lovely part of Scotland.

The location, bus every 10 mins in to Edinburgh centre, from right outside the hotel. Free parking at the hotel was a bonus, we left the car parked for four days and used the bus service into the city, taking only 15 mins. The staff at the hotel are very polite and friendly. The rooms are very clean and comfortable a bit tired looking but this did not spoil are stay here and would definitly go back again.
Lorna  — 29.5.2011.
Beautiful building. Coincidentally, upon arrival we were greeted by a group of Scotsmen whowere attending a wedding at the hotel and therefore all dressed up intheir traditional kilts, etc. Shortly after entering the hotel, thebagpipes struck up a highland tune, which even further enhanced theScottish ambience. Lovely late lunch in the hotel’s Bistro.

We enjoyed our stay at Ten Hill Place Hotel due to its location within easy walking distance to most of Edinburgh attractions and shopping facilities. We like the concept that the business profits support the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh.

Excellent location in the old city of Edinburgh;Grassmarket street is apeaceful spot. The hotel staff were in my opinion excellent; I would definately stay there again. we are talking about the main city of Edinburgh)The outdoor pavillon on the backside of the hotel closes at 23.
Carol  — 20.2.2011.
The Apex International Hotel in the Grass Market in Edinburgh is a verywell run hotel with efficient and friendly staff. As the hotel is only a short walk away from the castle, it was the perfect place to stay for our visit to the Military Tattoo this year—the top floor restaurant, which serves a well priced three course dinner at L26. 50, has a wonderful view of the castle too. We would stay at the Apex International again but would recommend optin.

The location of this hotel is excellent. Very close to all amenities to the City of Edinburgh and the famous Castle. The car parking is also an added bonus, particularly in the centre of Edinburgh, at a reasonable cost.

The hotel location is excellent - the airport side of Princes Street, 10min walk to Waverley Station. Taking the Airlink bus from the airport, the hotel is right beside the "West End" stop. Hotel is very quiet, even on the weekend when it was fully booked. Hotel staff throughout were very helpful. I would definitely recommend the hotel and would stay again.
Anonymous  — 3.12.2010.
The hotel was very attractive. We had dinner in the hotel one night. One of the staff in the breakfast restaurant, Andrew, made some recommendations and even remembered the kids names. The location was walking distance to the Edinburgh castle and many bus routes were right outside the front door providing easy access to places further away.
Janet  — 1.4.2011.
We had a large comfortable room with wonderful views of Princes Street and Edinburgh Castle. The public areas are well appointed and the hotel has a lot of character being in a historic and iconic building. The hotel location is great being right in the city centre and very handy for shops and restaurants. The breakfast was excellent with a good choice.

What can I say?? If this is a 3 star then I would hate to see a 1 star. We arrived at the hotel on Friday 24th September, for a special weekend. It turned out to be very special, because for the rest of our lives we will laugh at this fawlty towers style hotel. The hotel requires a coat of paint, unfortunately there isnt enough paint in homebase to do the job required.
Clare  — 8.6.2010.
The price of the Hotel and the fact that it had a bus stop right outside so even though it was out of the City transfort was easily accessible into the city or airport. The room was checked everyday and clean towels put daily and coffee, tea etc was filled up. The Breakfast was good for what we needed, cooked/continentalIdeal location for us because we like walking so we walked into the City most of the time and back to the Hotel. The owner of the hotel was very nice and he asked us everyday if everything was ok and I am sure if anything wanted changing he would do his best to make it to your sa.

After accidentally booking my accomodation for the wrong week, the hotel staff refused to transfer my booking despite it being a week in advance and them having availae rooms. They were the most unhelpful and uncaring hotel I have ever came across and would never wish this disgusting treatment even on my worst enemy! the hotel itself was old and dated and smelt awful as soon as you entered the front door.
