It was on a great location and easy to find. The layout of reception torooms and dining area ie bar was very accessible. Car park was close tothe main entrance. Rooms were beautiful and not too cold or warm. No fuss in checking in or out, with staff helpful in phoning for taxis. We booked the hotel to attend a family celebration and recommended it to others on the night who will keep it in mind for future occasions.
John  — 22.12.2011.
Beautiful location, alongside the estuary, with views for many miles along the coats and across to the mountains. Riverside paths from the hotel. Friendly and helpful staff, who allowed us to bring our dog at the last minute for no charge - very pet friendly hotel! Nice breakfast too. We will return.

This is simply one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in (and I stay in a lot of 4 and 5* hotels in UK and overseas). It’s expceptionally-well designed bedrooms have every feature you could possibly want - including i-mac multi-media player (TV, DVD and PC all in one) - all beautifully designed into the room’s furniture to provide an overall stunning bedroom. The second huge plus is the hotel’s location - we went to a concert at SECC and literally walked back to the Mint in less than 4 minutes! (How smug did we fell as other concert-goers queued for hours to get out of the carparks!) Staff a.

I have many good things to say about the Mint Hotel, as we were going tosee Peter Kay at the secc the location was ideal. In other Hotels we have stayed thecooked food is included in the buffet with the fruit, yoghurt, cerealetc. but this Hotel had food cooked to order which meant it came hot anddelicious both mornings we stayed.
Anonymous  — 29.7.2011.
The Mint Hotel is an excellent hotel, it is modern, clean and comfortable. It is also in a great location which is within walking distance of the city centre, the west end and the SECC. The staff are also pleasent and really helpful. The Mint Hotel is a great hotel and i would highly recommend it although i would say its more suited to couples, businessmen etc than people with kids.

Irene  — 20.5.2010.
Our 3 day leisure break to Glasgow was our first visit to the city. We chose the 4* Menzies Hotel for its facilities and location (10 mins stroll into city centre). Upon arrival we were delighted to be upgraded to an apartment - which made our stay really special (as we were celebrating a special birthday). All the staff throughout the hotel - reception, bar, restaraunt (excellent food and service - the breakfast was first class) and in the leisure club were friendly, courteous and helpful.
Derek  — 3.11.2010.
We had a really enjoyable time at the Menzies Hotel and being given a free upgrade to an apartment on arrival was, well, brilliant - loads of room & facilites. The hotel is what I’d say "just outside of being really central in Glasgow" but it’s not more than a 5 to 10 minute walk to be right in the heart of the city. Couldn’t really fault it to be honest - sure it’s a bit more expensive than a budget hotel - but it isn’t a budget hotel and was well worth paying that bit more for what we got.
Michelle  — 22.12.2010.
As soon as we arrived the friendly and lovely receptionist was there to answer any questions, the room was stunning and my friend and I couldn’t believe the luxury for the price we paid. will be staying at this hotel ever time i visit glasgow thank you menzies hotel for a wonderul stay.

Right next to central station. she was lovely and the only member of staff who actually seemed like she was working in the service/hotel industry in this hotel, the rest of the staff want to either get trained or fired.
Joanna  — 25.2.2010.
Convenient location for Central Glasgow, adequate budget hotel. It would be helpful for prospective guests to be informed that even the reception is up a flight of stairs, and that there is no lift. It was clean and adequately appointed, making it a reasonably priced business or shopping hotel.

It was my second stay at the Marks Hotel and will probably stay there again. We stayed at the back of the hotel. On the weekend we could hear noise from the neighbouring bar, but there is nothing the hotel can do about this. Inside the hotel - very quiet.
