Extremely pleased with the Premium Deluxe room; very spacious, modern and well designed. Our room was at the back of the hotel and we had no problem at all with noise - we slept very well each night of our stay. Overall, we were more satisfied with this hotel room than with any other so far, including a suite in a much more expensive 5-star hotel the following two nights. We will check out The George again when planning our next trip to Edinburgh.

Its location is perfect for sightseeing in the Captial City ofEdinburgh. The rooms are Elegant and roomy and have managed to retaina certain personality making it still quite homely for a large hotel. I stayed in a top 4* london hotel recently as well as another 4* hotelin Edinburgh last week and the cleanliness, style, airy rooms as wellas the breakfast quality were all far superior. And yet this hotelcost less!.

Bus stop into Old/New Town (choice of many buses) is about 5 minuteswalk from accommodation so distance from Waverly Train station is not anissue. Bed was hard, which I prefer, so I was very comfortable. Eating tip: ifyou go to Kismot to eat (Tripadvisor #1 restaurant in Edinburgh, 10m maxwalk from accommodation) make a reservation first! (We saw so manypeople being turned away). The luggage room at Pollok Halls is fantastic- your luggage is tagged and stored in.

We went to Edinburgh for the Festival and chose pollock Halls for thelocation and price. This accommodation (part of Edinburgh UniversityHalls of Residence) is excellent value and is a short bus ride to thecentre of Edinburgh. The room was modern, clean everything you wouldexpect from a 4 star hotel. There was theusual cereals, hot cooked breakfast supplemented by haggis and blackpudding, continental breakfasts and even pancak.

It offered good accommodation in a lovely setting and puts a more interesting slant on" " bed and breakfast. It caters for the single traveller and as a woman mostly travelling alone, I am always very aware that some accommodation cam make you feel ostracised because you are on your own. I also liked the fact that there was a whole range of people staying there in terms of nationality , age etc Everywhere in edinburgh is easily reached from here either on foot or by bus. It has made me think about this type of accommod.

The hostel is very basic, but it’s in a great location, just next to theHigh street and provides all the facilities needed for a short stay inthe city - clean private rooms in a shared apartment with a commonkitchen area, clean bathrooms and showers. Staff friendly and helpful,24-hour reception. Very good value for money compared with other similarplaces nearby - perfect for spending a night in Edinburgh after a busyday at one of the festivals.
Monica  — 25.10.2010.
The location is perfect, close to the centre and to the pubs, it ispossible to go walking everywere. The room window was in a closedcourtyard so it was quiet. Furthermore, you can use the shared kitchen. Considering the hotel prizes in Edinburgh, this place is perfect by itsprize and location, but remembering that it is a hostel (not a hotel),so the quality is appropiate to it (you have to do your own bed and thiskind of stuff).
Sarah  — 22.10.2010.
The best thing is location once you get your bearings it is veryCentral, 5 mins to Royal mile, 10 mins to Waverley station, it is verycheap in comparison to the other central hotels, gives you more money tospend on shopping and going out. Ladies take a mirror as there wasn’tone in our room, there is in bathroom but only one shared bathroom inapartment, be prepared to wait if apartment is full.

I liked the proximity of the major sighseeiing venues - the breakfast was excellent - the location of the hotel was brillant - a little disappointed with the size of the leisure centre. Didnt realise the wifi in reception was free to hotel guest until the day I was leaving and also that there was complimentary newspapers as well. I had intended doing a city bus tour but one of the leaflets in the hotel was stating a price of L42 too rich for me but on the last day I saw bus tours for L14. Would recommend Edinburgh as a great city break and the Radisson as a great place to stay in.
Lauren  — 12.11.2010.
We flew into Edinburgh fairly early so thought we’d have to kill timebefore checking in to the hotel & leaving bags with them etc, but wewere given a room as soon as we arrived, which was massively helpful. The room was to a very high standard, decor and cleanliness, and quietconsidering the window overlooked the main highstreet. The staff wereexceptionally helpful and polite, and would thouroughly recommend thishotel to others on a city break looking for a hotel in the perfectlocation for the tourist attractions. Would happily stay here again!.
Simon  — 10.4.2011.
A very distinctive hotel exterior located very close to Edinburgh city centre on The Royal Mile, a short walk away from the main train station. Free WiFi for hotel guests, some hotels like to charge for everything! Nice pool and sauna. We would recommend this hotel and stay there again.
