This hotel is far the best among 3 stars hotels that I have stayed in. I could see how good the hotel was by the movement of people around either going to gym , swimming, wedding reception or guests checking in and out. I was welcomed and made aware of all services available at this hotel. The bedroom was comfortable and equipped with a lot of facilities one will expect in 4 or 5 stars hotels (Tea facilities, Ironing facilities including pressing board,.

This was our second stay at Village Dudley recently, the hotel has met our requirements we notice the towel situation is incorrect on both stays only set for one. The rooms are very warm.

A very pleasant stay all round. Having originally planned on staying just a single night, I first extended my stay to a second night and then a third as I found the hotel so accommodating that I preferred to stay there and travel a little further for each of my daily appointments than move to other hotels. All of the staff were excellent. The full-English breakfast buffet was outstanding.

I found the room comfortable and the facilities satisfactory. My business dealings are also in the area so the hotellocation could not be better. The addition of an elevator (lift) wouldbe a good feature since there were a number of bus tours for elderlypeople using the hotel. I will plan on staying at the hotel next year.

I stayed at the hotel with my daughter in law on the fri evening as i was getting married the following day, but not in the hotel. The staff were excellent and supplied me with a vase on request for a bouquet that my future hubby had delivered earlier that day and was allowed to put in my room. They also supplied an ice bucket for our hardresser and wedding partygirls celebratory bubbly. I couldnt fault our stay in any way.

It has excellent leisure facilities and is an ideal base for family visits to Cadbury World, Black Country Living Museum, Dudley Zoo and The West Midlands Safari Park, Sea-Life Center, which the hotel also offers tickets for. Cadbury World, Dudley Zoo, the West Midlands Safari Park and the Sea Life Centre are all in close proximity to the hotel.

We stayed here for a romantic weekend away for our first anniversary. The hotel is in a great location with the Merry Hill shopping complex a few minutes walk which includes an incredible amount of shops and variety of places to eat and even a cinema (which we took advantage of to see the inbetweeners movie - great film by the way) staff were friendly and very helpful at the hotel, room was clean and the swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi onsite was simply bliss. A Weatherspoons pub (where you could sit overlooking the canal) for a quiet night and Sports Bar (loved it in here.. foosball table, pool tables, great music, dance floor etc.) for a more lively one were also a few minutes walk from the hotel. Overall, we had a fantastic time here and can't wait to go back - highly recommend this hotel!

A modern hotel with good leisure facilities and right next to the Merry Hill shopping centre with all the nightlife and shopping it ha sto offer right on your doorstep. The hotel staff that we came into contact with were all very professional, pleasant and helpful. Our restaurant waitress on the first night was especially so even though she was only a temp. I had stated on my booking request that the weekend was a special one for my wife and I and on arrival found the hotel had given us an upgrade to a Connousoir room. Very much appreciated by us both. Would definately recommend.

I had booked this hotel for my boyfriends birthday I didn't know much about it at the time but it seemed to be a popular hotel, popular for a reason, staff were very friendly, room was spectacular along with a view of the canal. Near the hotel is some very nice restaurants as well which are 2 mins away. which is great as restaurant prices at the Copthorn were a little expensive. We were also able to use the gym facilities which were excellent as they don't close till 10 which was great if you want a nice refreshing dip in the pool with the hubby before bed.

a good nights sleep in a basic room but for the price was ok, some premier inns seem to have more in the rooms these here were little sparce on furniture

Not been to this small hotel previously but decided to give it a try, ifwe are honest, because of the price and the good reviews. We were notdisappointed.Although situated on a busy main road, we were not affectedby traffic noise. Parking at the rear was ideal, we had a friendlywelcome on arrival and the breakfast though basic was great value aswell as being healthy ! Terrific value, well done .We will certainlybook this hotel again.

This is really a very nice B&B, not exactly a hotel. Interesting furniture and fittings, but essentially a collection of rooms off corridors. It's good value if you are working in the area. Room very nice if overheated on the day I was there. I would stay there again for work.

We received such a warm friendly welcome from Jackie. The hotel was very clean and comfortable, with lots of charm.Very convenient for our night out at the concert hall in Dudley. Would stay again and would recommend this hotel to anyone..

On this our first visit to a De Vere Village Hotel I was surprised atthe size and comfort of the bedrooms and how clean the room was. Thestaff were very obliging and helpfull especially in the restaurant. Theroom was situated at the end of a corridor which was great , it was veryquiet and it was nice to look out of a window and see a pleasant view oftrees. As we live in the countryside this was a plus. We would never ofthought of booking here but we were invited to a wedding venue here andwe thoroughly enjoyed the experience and certainly will recommend thishotel and in the future will bring swimming costumes and gym gear toenjoy the lovely swimming pool and use of the gym and stay longer. Thankyou for making our stay so welcoming and enjoyable. Margaret and Jim.

That it is situated ideally for visiting Mum, we only really booked this Hotel due to this reason as Mum had been in hospital and was given devastating news on the Friday, therefore we travelled to Coventry to see her. This was not the first time we had stayed at this hotel, those times we were not impressed with the hotel. Thought we would give it a go again as told that the hotel had been takenover. We booked a table for 6.30 pm with family and the service was so slow we were getting fed up of waiting. Also the waitress would be asked for something and she would say she would be one moment and we did not see her for a long time after, saying I will be with you in a minute!! Which was longer than the minute. Very poor service

The staff were so helpful, my party of 3 decided on an evening out in coventry city centre, which was very nice, until we discovered that all the taxi's in Coventry had gone on strik, we were terribly worried and upset as we did not know the area and were stranded! We called the hotel and the gentleman at reception arranged for a memeber of staff to come and find us! He really was our Knight in shinning armour! I was so greatful and whats more they wouldn't even except any money for their troubles. I was pleasently supprised! and will definately be going back.

Small sometimes really IS beautiful. I found this an exceptionally well run small hotel with a great ambience. Willing hands seized my suitcase as soon as I arrived [the hotel is a listed building so no lift] and I especially appreciated the proximity of the carpark. Other things that impressed: brilliant breakfast, with ample time to linger over the newspapers; high quality of food, house wines etc; best espresso coffee I've had for ages.

Hotel understaffed,railway and station accross road,very noisy expresses during the night. On my second morning i decided to have breakfast,i had prunes tea and toast,waited over half an hour and waiter never came to take my cooked breakfast order. i could not wait any longer,too expensive at L15. 00 for breakfast.

I love this hotel and have now stayed 2 years in a row and will bebooking some family packages available at the hotel as well as my annualbusiness trip. A very well equipped hotel with very friendly staff. Thefood is very good! The rooms are modern, spacious and the bathroom isfab! After staying here I dont want to look anywhere else to be honest.Made that mistake this trip and regretted it. Felt brilliant to be backat this hotel as its consistent with standards from the outside to everyroom on the inside. Job well done to all the staff

The experience of something modern in England. Normally hotels inEngland are romantic or post-romantic. But post modern is hard to find.Village is that. Also the level of aesthetic detail there has been putinto the over all experience is worth mentioning. There are fx no yellowwarning 'fire door signs' plastered on doors, but nice small blue platesscrewed in opposite each other. Like this through-out the hotel.
