We were doing the west highland way and the luxury of the cottage and the facilities were really welcoming to our tired limbs. We were met by the owner who was very friendly and helpful. The cottage was well stocked with every possible piece of crockery you could need. It is set in a tranquil location.

Familiar house very nice and very well equipped for 6 persons, near a small very calm village. It has everything you need, and specially usefully the tourist information. The owners, James and Sue, are very nice and attentive. We wanted to repeat soon.

We visited this hotel for a murder mystery night and only paid L99 for our dinner, bed and breakfast and including entertainment. The murder mystery night was one of the best nights ive had in a long time and the hotel staff couldnt do anymore for you. I will most certainly be back to this hotel.

The hotel is situated in a very nice village, only a few miles from Loch Lomand. It is also in a good position fro traveling further in the Highlands and is accessable from the main road. The Hotel is very well maintained and the staff very well informed. The food is also of a high standard.

I had a fairly pleasant stay at this hotel. The hotel was quaint and in a nice if slightly remote village. Breakfast was good. A good starting off point for exploring this beautiful area of Scotland.

Our room at Ashbank was lovely. Good size (fantastic king size bed!) and beautifully decorated. The en-suite was also of an extremely high standard with a wonderful shower. The owners were extremely warm & friendly & Tommy produced a fabulous cooked breakfast. Nothing was too much bother.
Anonymous  — 28.1.2012.
Nice, helpful owners. The bed and breakfast anex was all freshly decorated and spotlessly clean. The room was a good size and comfortable. The bathroom was very impressive and the shower was a delight. The room was quite, although I was the only one staying that night.

The views around the hotel made up for some of the things we weren't happy with for example:-paying to park , tv was Very old fashioned and took us ages to get the movie-Hangover 2- we paid £8.15 to watch ( although advertised at £7.95 ) the tv wouldn't let us enter or room number even after we called reception and reported this , as a result we missed 35 minutes of the movie . This was not even offered as a refund . I booked an overnight stay for my boyfriends birthday and although I knew the hotel is being refurbished it was Disapponiting considering expectations of such a quality hotel . Suggest also hotel taps into local attractions - sea plane , speed boats , river cruise , imax , science center , city bus tours I'm sure guests could be offered a discount or a hotel stay and arranged activity package to encourage visitors to appreciate outstanding views and areas around location of the hotel

Sandra  — 2.11.2011.
We had a concert booking at the SECC, and were delighted we could walk straight through from the hotel. Also the walk-way from the car park was greatly appreciated. Your staff are wonderful and very helpful and courteous. All in all we had a great time, and would have no hesitation in recommending to friends. May I also add our appreciation for the wonderful pianist who played so beautifully, a perfect ending to our day.

Like nowhere else you have ever stayed before - unless it was another Citizen M hotel! It takes a moment to come to terms with what you have checked into and was initially a bit confusing for someone like me who is over a "certain age" and not strictly a technophile. However, once "acclimatised", you really appreciate that it is outstanding value for money, comfortable, and an extremely pleasant experience - made all the nicer by the genuinely enthusiastic and welcoming staff. Sod's law dictated that I got a room with a defective remote handset that controls virtually everything in it. After several failed attempts to fix the problem, I was relocated into another room, refunded my breakfast money and given two complimentary cocktails. I would definitely recommend Citizen M to anyone looking for a new experience and I will definitely stay here next time I am in Glasgow.
Stuart  — 7.12.2011.
The uniqueness of the hotel, the room and the lobby area. We have neverstayed in anything quite as unusual before but enjoyed every minute evenit was only for one night. The remote control that controlled the tv,lights, air con, window shades and mood lighting was brilliant!!!! Evenif it took a few minutes to get used to. The lobby area with free accessto Apple computers is excellent and the free wi-fi in room was an addedbonus (we were house hunting) and very simple to access. Check in andcheck out were a breeze, the staff were very helpful. For a short stayof a couple of days I would recommend this hotel.PS I read a previous comment saying parking charges were expensive. You can park your car in a council car park 500 yards away for £1:50 from 6 pm til 8 am. Street parking is like all big cities, expensive, if your daft enough to use it.
Gemma  — 27.2.2012.
I stayed at the hotel recently, I had a very enjoyable stay. It was good value for money considering it's in the city centre. Staff were friendly and welcoming.the downsides of the hotel is that the entrance is confusing, no signs indicate that the reception is on the first floor, there is self check in machines. The rooms are very petite! Shower is very cool but room had no bin for rubbish and no ironing board or iron, had to use communal ironing room which was basically like a storage cupboard. Wen arrived had some difficulties with the tv but staff were very prompt to fix it which was good. Overall the hotel looks great has great funky decor but would only be suitable for 1 or 2 nights stay as it's soo small. Other feature they are not so upfront about is getting parking ticket stamped to make it cheaper.
