I liked the fact that the hotel staff were ok about bringing food back to the rooms. It was right in the middle of the town so handy for shopping, although I can imagine on a weekend it may get noisy, I stayed for 3 nights Tues-Fri and the only time it was noisy in the hotel was Thursday night as it was St Patricks day. Although I read some negative reviews before visiting and was dreading what the room would be like, I was pleasantly surprised, the room was adequate for my needs. And I have never had a room that actually has freeview channels that actually work.

The Hotel was central to shopping, bars, restuarants within walking distance to Doncaster Race course. However we jumped into a taxi which was in a taxi rank at the side of the Hotel. There was plenty to eat at breakfast and it was very tasty.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The Regent is a good traditional family run hotel with a bar where guests can let their hair down a bit and even speak to other guests. The hotel has some proper creaky floorboards, as all good hotels traditionally have. Doncaster Market is about 5-10 minutes by foot and the friendly staff at the Regent even offered to put whatever we bought in the fridge while we stayed - there is a very good fish and me.

The hotel was adequate ,one of the light bulbs and fan not working in bathroom. was probably very wise!Would definately reccommend this hotel to business people, families and anyone who wanted easy access to Doncaster Town.

Perfectly placed in the centre of the town for access to all facilities. Good standard of accommodation and food. Parking within the hotel was very limited, but there was adequate parking in the adjacent Regent Square. Overall highly recommended.
