It was a good base to tour the part of Kent that we wanted to visit. We were able to walk intoCanterbury, spent a morning, visiting the Cathedral and lunching, lookedaround the shops. The weather was beautiful so we spent the afternoon inthe garden of the hotel, which is a lovely garden. Only had dinner onenight at the hotel, menu disappointing. Canterbury has lots of goodrestaurants and we find a good bistro, very friendly staff and customers. The hotel should consider ironing its sheets for.
Robert  — 30.9.2010.
A pleasant hotel situated 15 to 20 minutes walk from the centre of Canturbury. Our room was situated at the rear of the hotel overlooking the large garden. It was very quiet, not sure about the front rooms as the rad can be very busy although the hotel is set well back. An enjoyable short break.

Had a wonderful stay at The Falstaff!! We stayed in The John Falstaff suite which was comfy, atmospherfic and truely made our stay feel special!!! Taking photographs in our suite we got some great pictures of orbs in the room which for us just added delight to our stay. The staff were friendly, so close to Canterbury we didn’t use the car once. We ate at a a fantastic restaurant called Marlowes - have never been to a restaurant with so much choice. Would definately recommend this hotel and a visit to Canterbury.
Anonymous  — 16.6.2010.
The hotel itself is very quaint, the atmosphere was friendly butprofessional and the location was perfect for a visit to Canterbury. Wealso liked that although it is on a busy road and in the heart ofCanterbury there was no traffic noise whatsoever. My husbandparticularly enjoyed the breakfast! A fantastic selection of fresh wellpresented food.

The food was excellent at all times. The position of the hotel allowedus to walk into Canterbury easily - quite flat - and the free carparking was extremely useful. The double bed was huge! Before we have had tinyrooms in Canterbury. Generally we were very happy with the hotel andwould and have recommended it, especially for its food.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Hotel. I regularly visit Kent, Ilived there in Cantrbury for 25 years, and my Eldest Son and Family livein Whitstable, I could easily stay with them, but it is more of a treatto stay in a Hotel. Breakfast was lovely, a great choice offood, it was very nice to read the magazines after breakfast, it feltlike a real holiday. I will certainly stay with yourselves again, infact I am looking forward to it! Keep up the good work! Next time I amhoping for the weather to be better, as I am.

We went to Canterbury for a Wedding and the location of this hotel was excellent for the Church and reception. The staff in the Hotel were very friendly. Unfortunitly our room was at the front of the Hotel and we get get some road noise, but we didn’t shut the window or pull the double glazing accross because it was very warm weather at the time. This hotel was so peaceful and relaxing, supremely comfortable and made us feel priveledged to seem to be part of the cathedral itself. Views from the hotel rooms were directly on to the cathedral for which we had unlimited access. Also in the very heart of Canterbury itself with its quaint shops and restaurants. Ten out of ten for shopping, eating and places of interest.

The Woolpack is located in a picturesque Kent village between Ashford and Canterbury and we stayed for one night on the way to catch the ferry in Dover. The staff were friendly and we were warmly welcomed. In the bar I found that the hand pumped Shepherd Neame beers were very drinkable. The restaurant was good and I would recommend the “home made” ice-cream for desert.
Anonymous  — 24.7.2010.
Hotel staff was very helpful. Good selection and taste of dinnereven this is a small hotel at a rural area. Many shopes were closed(seemed permanently) in the town, so very small selections to do at thetown; however you can relax. Considering the price, this hotel is agreat choice.

The Woolpack is a friendly and welcoming place. The food was excellent and the portions, generous. I would definitely stay there again. Chilhsm is a beautiful village and very convenient for both Ashford and Canterbury.

Very pleasant stay in Elham. Excellent, peaceful and scenic location which is convenient for shopping in Canterbury and the Channel tunnel. Staying on a Monday night, the hotel was quiet and we were kindly offered the family room over the double which was well sized with a double and 2 single beds - and there were some toys for our toddler to play with too which was a nice touch. The pub is lovely in traditional Kent style and all staff were great too.
Anonymous  — 28.6.2011.
Although convenient for both the chanel tunnel and Dover port it is in a lovely village location and the inns accomodation is of a high standard and the food was also very good. I could not fault this hotel at all.

We received a very warm welcome from Dot the owner. Our rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable. Breakfast was served in the dining room and the table was beautifully laid. There was fresh fruit available together with cereals and a delicious cooked breakfast. What I enjoyed about this b&b is that all the guests sat at one table and everyone enjoyed conversation over breakfast. Of course, there was Paddy the Westie who was a huge favourite with my grandchildren. The location of this b&b allowed us easy access to Canterbury and surrounding towns - only about 10 minutes away. I will certainly use this b&b again because of the hospitality of Dot and Jeff.
Konstantinos  — 7.1.2012.
At first I choose this b&b because it was close to Kent University andat a good price. After I spend there 3 nights I have only good words tosay about everything, but most of all for Mrs Dot who was always with asmile. She even woke up at 6 o'clock in the morning to prepare ourbreakfast the day we had to fly back home. Amadis b&b will always be mychoise whenever will visit Canderbury. Dear Dot & Geof I wish you thebest and remember when you 'give' sooner or later you 'get back'multiple times.
Karen  — 30.12.2011.
Four of us stayed for one night at Amadis b&b while visiting my son atKent University. The rooms were warm, comfortable and attractive and wewere extremely well looked after by the owners who were attentive andfriendly. The breakfast was of an extremely high standard for a b&B. Iwould definitely stay there again should the need arise and I wouldrecommend it to anyone who was looking for a warm and comfortable b&bbetween Canterbury and Whitstable.
