We enjoyed our 3 night break at the Kingswood Hotel which was sopeaceful after 4 nights in Edinburgh. The view from the Hotel was good,we could see the Royal Yacht Britannia across the the Firth of Forth. The Bedroomwas well furnished with a balcony where we sat when it was not raining. I was quite convenient for a day visit to Edinburgh or Dunfermlin.
Brian  — 7.10.2010.
The hotel was welcoming, clean, with a pleasant restaurant serving appetising food at a reasonable price. The location alongside the Firth of Forth was great for a holiday visiting the surrounding areas and Edinburgh.

The location was very good for young children, as it is not in themiddle of the City and there is access to parkland at the front of thehotel. The hotel is well appointed, clean and the staff are excellent. I made a passing comment about this in the morning on check out and the staff could not have been more accommodating. I was offered a significant discou.
Janice  — 19.9.2010.
The hotel was near to my daughter’s University flat and so was perfectfor me when visiting - it also allowed her the treat of staying with meand enjoying the hotel facilities. I was able to find a parking spacewhich is superb in Edinburgh and knew that the car was safe for theduration of the stay. Breakfast wass lovely with a wide range of fruitsand hot food to choose from. The beds are very comforatble and the roomquiet - an enjoyable visit.
Colin  — 4.1.2011.
The hotel is in a perfect location, nice surroundings with easy access to the city centre and attractions - parking a bit restricted, but we were lucky enough to get a space - local busses available within a short walking distance from hotel - a nice hotel, will certainly use it again and would recommend to friends and family.

Having arrived after a very diffcult journey, through adverse weather conditions, we were met by a young lady who was warm, knowledgable and witty. The apartment was exactly what we wanted, compact but everything to hand and a welcome retreat after a hard day’s "touring" the delights of Edinburgh. I’ve already recommended the apartments to colleagues who are visiting Edinburgh later this year. Hopefully it wont be too long before my wife and I are back in Edinburgh and we would have no hesitation in cont.

Whilst the decor was a little dated, the 2 bedroomed apartment was very clean, comfortable, spacious and perfect for our family weekend trip to Edinburgh. It is not as central as other hotels/apartments, as it is a good 15 min walk uphill to Princes Street, but has the added bonus of free parking which more than compensates for the location. Best of all was that it slept 4 adults very comfortably and was excellent value and cheaper than 1 hotel double room. I would definitely stay here again for value, comfort, convenience and the free parking.

Enjoyed the freedom of having an apartment in a convienent part of Edinburgh. Bus stop at door and shops and resturants near. Facilities of hot-el apartments were very good for a city break or a business stopThe apartments also had parking which enabled us to use a car and visit areas outside Edinburgh.

Number Ten was a lovely hotel, and we had a very, very special time in the hotel. The hotel is a beautiful old Edinburgh Georgian house in a beautiful street in the New Town. Our room had a view over to the sea and the hotel is only 5 - 10 minutes by foot from George Street. When the sun shone through the windows it was beautiful, like living in the National Trust house in Charlotte Square! We recommend this hotel wholly to everybody.
Joan  — 4.2.2011.
From first arriving at this hotel, we were greeted by very professional, friendly staff, which gave us a good first impression. We were told we had been upgraded to an executive room, which was excellent, very well furnished and spotlessly clean. We decided to have evening meal at the hotel and the food was excellent again. I would highly recommend this hotel and I will definately stay there again.
Anthony  — 10.4.2010.
Location, location, location. (That’s not the hotel’s fault, it’s Edinburgh’s. ) As ever, the hard-working staff weren’t Scots but they were very good. Excellent breakfasts in a relaxed, pseudo chic atmosphere, certainly no chain hotel.

We recently stayed for several nights at the Salisbury, along with threeother couples. The hotel is small, well-located, and in aconverted former semi-detached mansion. Our room was at the back of the hotel andoverlooked a lovely garden which had outdoor seating and a play area forchildren. The staff were very he.
David  — 16.5.2011.
A very comfortable and friendly hotel - we couldn’t have chosen better. Theaccommodation was very clean and the added bonus of a new restaurant onthe lower floor (not owned by the Salisbury but fantastic) was a plusalso. There is parking at the front of the hotel, probably for around8-10 cars. We would certainly visit this hotel again.
Joao  — 23.8.2010.
The hotel is absolutely impecable. The breakfast was brilliant, the staff was very diligent and friendly, the bedroom was amazingly beautiful and I will definitely stay at Salisbury Hotel the next time I go to Edinburgh. I have already recommended to friends who are planning to spend some time in Edinburgh. I am greatful to Salisbury Hotel, for it provided the most perfect atmosphere during our trip to Edinburgh.

The staff were welcoming and helpful. On arrival we were given a map of the city and because our hotel was a 20 min walk from the centre we were told about the buses and our map contained a helpful note with the buses we needed and the cost. The bus stop was outside the hotel and the buses were cheap and run until late so they were very easy to use. The facilities in the hotel were good, the rooms had tea and coffee.
John  — 7.4.2010.
