Its totally fabulous the food was terrific. All in all I thoroughly recommend this hotel. The hosts are simply the best, really nice people who are helpful and care very much that your stay is a good one. Oh and the breakfast is a belly buster if you like a full English.

Manor Farm Bed and Breakfast Bridgwater: Great location, Tasty breakfast, Good value. General: Pet Friendly, TV, En suite. Parking: Parking is available.
Wendy  — 12.12.2011.
I chose Manor Farm because of the location. In the heart of the QuantoxHills the farm is ideally situated to explore this area of Somerset, andhandy to the New Somerset Heritage Centre and the Somerset Museum inTaunton. The 14th century accomodation was charming and Sue, ourhostess, was very attentive to all our needs including a freshly cookedEnglish breakfast with delicious coffee that set you up for the day ofexploring the countryside. The Tynte Arms in Enmore and the Swann, inKingston St Mary were excellent choices for our evening meals.
Paul  — 19.12.2011.
This was excellent value for money. The farmhouse was superb and full of character. The bedroom had ensuit, TV and coffee/tea making facilities and was clean. The breakfast was second to none. The Travellors Rest pub served excellent food for an evening meal and was a short but 'vertical' walk away. Highly recommended.
Debbie  — 17.12.2011.
Lovely, character-filled old house, and large, comfortable room. Therewas no phone signal in the area, and I was able to use the land line. Itwas in a beautiful, quite remote area of the countryside. Very peaceful.Best selection of tea and coffee making stuff I have encountered.

We often find ourselves in the Bridgwater area for work and have alwaysbeen surprised by the lack of individual accommodation about. We chancedon The Bower Inn on booking.com and were not disappointed. Finding it ishard (satnav takes you to the middle of the adjoining modern housingdevelopment, so put in Bower Lane instead and it's signposted The BowerInn) but our reception more than made up for it. Nice rooms, greatstaff, good food and drink, free wi-fi - all in all a nice relaxingevening. Sadly we were in a rush to get to a meeting in the morning andbreakfast doesn't start until 8am (that's not a criticism) so we couldnot really do the fantastic eggs and bacon justice. The eggs are fromtheir own hens and the best I've tasted in years. Hopefully next time wecan have a more relaxing breakfast. Great tip from the staff - if, like us, you need to get to J24 of the M5 in the morning and don't fancy the horrendous queues in Bridgwater get directions to go one junction north to 23 then dow
Yvonne  — 15.2.2012.
We liked the friendliness and informal attitude of the staff and thequality of the rooms. We stayed in the French room with a fabulous deepantique bath. The facilities in the room were comparable to a 4 starhotel. Since we were travelling to North Devon for a holiday this was aperfect stopping off point, as it would also be for the even longerjourney to Cornwall. The restaurant was very busy and family friendly, serving a good range of home cooked "pub style food". Would use thisagain and would recommend to anyone staying in this part of Somerset

Simple and quick check in, meals at competitive prices, friendly and attentive staff providing excellent service. The menu was standard reflecting the local clientele, but for the seasoned traveller a little more variety would have been preferable. The portions were very large and difficult to finish i.e the fish cakes which were more like fish puddings and the sheer variety of the chees, albeit leading to some pleasant dreams! Its a very simple Inn that does the simple things well, without fuss or attitude.
