This was the best hotel we’ve stayed in. Every area of the hotel wasspotless. We are not particularly fond ofBournemouth but we would return just for the hotel and then drive out tothe nearby countryside. The hotel is easily.
Evangelina  — 22.3.2011.
The hotel is installed in a very nice building, very well preserved. The breakfast was also very good, served in a nice, largeroom, and the personnel were very polite and efficient. I will certainlycome back to this hotel, next time I’m in Bournemouth. There is aConnaught Lodge a few meters away that doesn’t look very nice, but themain hotel is really good.

I actually feltsorry to leave when saying goodbye at breakfast. Typical wear down hotel on the english coast. As in almost every hotel in England ( except types of Le Meridian, Hilton, Mariott ) is in pretty bad shape, decorations were done by really unskilful labours, english breakfast which is nothing bad but in this hotel we’ve haven’t been on second morning due to really bad stomach feelings after first one. We had to park in hotels aside this one. Except location nothing positive about this one.

The Cumberland Hotel has many good features, especially the downstairsarea of the hotel as it is in appearance how it is described on thewebsite. Even though I asked for a standard room, I have had betterquality rooms at a a Ramada/Travel Lodge/Holiday Inn. My partner and I checked into the Cumberland (driving past all the hotels looked very similar, but this hotel I cannot fault). Hotel bar, very swanky. It was our anniversary, and my partner proposed to me on the beach. Cumberland made our stay even more better! thank you! We will be coming back to this hotel every time we come back to Bou.

The breakfast was awesome! All the English breakfast was buffet styleand cooked to perfection. They also had a good selection of cereals, fruit, teas and coffees and toast and preserves. There is a waterdispenser in the hallway by the rooms which is a great convenience. Thehotel is old and quirky with creaky floor board and old school bath andshower mixer. It’s located in a nice quiet tree lined street away fromthe busy traffic of the centre but still only 10 minute walk away fromeverything. Friendly staff, well stocked reception of local info, all inall good budget hotel.
