Right in the centre of Bakewell so easy to walk out into Bakewell. Hascharacter, different from the standard modern hotel and the variousclocks on display in the main hotel added to this! Our room was in theannexe but again had character, not just a "clone room" as found in manymodern hotels.

The hotel is ideally located in the centre of the town of Bakewell with easy access to the rest of the Peak District. The food is excellent and nicely presented. The hotel has an old world charm, is comfortable and the staff combine professionalism and friendliness.

All staff were pleasant and eager to please. The room was spacious andclean with plenty ot tea/coffee making supplies. The pub itself was alovely old stone building with a good atmosphere, a choice of two good, well known cask ales and the food was good quality and delivered pipinghot. The £9.90 for two menu was available and had a good selection ofdishes to choose from. The full English breakfast was excellent. Thehotel is situated a short distance from the river and a few minutes walkfrom the Monsal Trail in the picturesque Peak District town of Bakewell.

The Castle Inn is a well established pub / restaurant with accomodation, with a real log fire and is in an excellent location for shops etc.Breakfast was a little too early for us 8.00 am to 9.00 am, so wedecided to use one of the local cafes within Bakewell. The room westayed in at the Castle Inn was of a good size, clean, had a good sizeensuite and coffee / tea and biscuits available. Overall, We wouldrecommend using the Castle Inn for b & b and intend to stay there againin the future.

Enjoyed our stay comfortable and good food, however not impressed with having to pay extra for breakfasts as this adds to a cost of a low budget holiday, would prefer an all in price as in most B&Bs, as this could be off putting to a lot of people, in fact we nearly did not stay here because of this, but we came to an amicable arrangement with the owner.

the option to use the self contained kitchenette rather than feel obliged to consume a cooked breakfast made an unusual and welcome change from most other 'luxury' suites. the suite was well serviced and the staff were extremely helpful, thanks. the location was excellent and only a short stroll to the main bakewell high street, with its many tea rooms and restaurants. i would recomend this holiday aparrtment to anyone wishing to enjoy a few days in bakewell.

The Hall itself is a beautiful building and a couple of minutes walkfrom the centre of Bakewell. We stayed in the Garden room which provided everything you would want. The bed was nice and big and very comfortable, the addition of the Ipod Docking station and DVD player was very good. I was also impressed with the kitchen facilities which give you the option of eating in if you need to.
Sally  — 10.1.2012.
Bagshaw Hall is a beautiful old building close to the centre ofBakewell. We stayed in a room with a kitchenette which meant that wecould make our own breakfast and sandwiches. The kitchenette had akettle, microwave and fridge (including a tiny freezer). The bathroomwas clean with an excellent shower. The bedroom was nicely decorated andthe bed was exceptionally comfortable.

Normally I don't do review but this one is a nice surprise to me and my husband. Too bad that our stay is short. The location is fantastic and convenient, just leave our car at the lodge and walk less than 5 mins to the town centre. The size of the accommodation and ensuite is large, made the king-size bed appear small. The facilities are modern and clean for self-catering and for a nice good shower. The view from the room is great. It seems like a posh hotel, definitely value for money. I have already recommended this place to all my friends and neighbours.
Elizabeth  — 18.11.2011.
The room was really comfortable (although a little hot but the windowsopened!). Huge bed and all the basics we need for a day - tea etc. Theshower was really powerful too which was great after a day of longwalks. Location is great - a short trip down into bakewell. Remember totake a torch for the trip back up the hill at night. Parking was fineand it was pretty easy to find.
Mark  — 10.12.2011.
Location ideal for the town centre of bakewell, convenient yet quiet, property had its own carpark, modern clean facilities, exactly asdescribed ion the website, staff friendly and helpful. Id recommend itand will definately stay again, a great alternative to bed and breakfastaccomodation
