Location was perfect to us as we were visiting our son who is working in the area for this year. We booked one other hotel on line and called to the Craw’s Nest on spec for the other night and they had plenty of accommodation. ,It would have been great if we could have got the five nights on the internet booking on the Craw’s Nest. Many t.

Parking and access to the hotel was great. Also the hotel was a ten minute walk to the harbour and loads of shops and an award winning fish and chip shop and only a five minute walk to an inn with excellent food. The breakfast at the hotel was one of the best I’ve had and the dining room staff were efficient and friendly. The hotel has a lovely garden and nice bar area and the en-suite had a bath which was very welcome.

My wife & I have stayed at the Craws Nest on a number of occations, wehave been to a few dinner dances at the hotel and have always enjoyedour stay with you. We also stayed on the east coast for a few years inKinghorn so it was no hassle just to pack the car and take a drive up toAnstruther, and would certainly recommend the Craws Nest to anyone manythanks Bryan & Maureen Patterson.

We are 10 minutes from Edinburgh city centre by bus and within walking distance to the fashionable "EdinburghWaterfront" where you will find the Royal Yacht Britannia, Ocean Terminal and the Scottish Office. Activities / Services: Internet Services, Safety Deposit Box, Tour Desk, Heating, Fax/Photocopying, Luggage Storage ... Edinburgh Edinburgh, built on seven hills, giving an unmistakably dramatic skyline, it's historic buildings, elegant Georgian and Victorian architecture overlooked by a guardian castle. Eating out is a hobby in Edinburgh and most ethnic cuisines are represented within walking distance from Sandaig - in fact might we even say that some of the best restaurants in Edinburgh are situated in Leith.

This place is a gem - I’ve stayed in a lot of guest houses and hotels in Edinburgh and this is my favourite: it is comfortable (the bed was amazing), clean, lovely decor (liked the unique touches to modern chic look), the bathroom was sparkling clean and had a big bath (nice bonus) and there was even a decanter of whisky if you fancied a ’wee nip’. Location may seem far to some, but it really shouldn’t put you off: the numbers 12 and 25 bus run from the door step and cab is only L7. Also, there is a park opposite, which you wouldn’t necesserily get closer into the city centre. And it was quie.

The hotel is a real find for the money - beautiful bedroom with fourposter bed. It is decorated very tastefully andspotlessly clean. The breakfast was great - starter of porridge/yoghurt/ fresh fruit etc and then full Scottish with haggis! Lovely! Thebus into the city goes every few minutes from just outside the hotelwhich was very handy. Would definitely return.

Our apartment was spacious, modern and spotlessly clean and, although we had booked a double apartment, we were given a 2 bedroom apartment that could sleep 4 people or a family. The kitchen was very well equipped and there was a massive 24 hour opening Asda store just 10 minutes walk away. There was a bus stop about 100 yards away with frequent buses in to the centre of Edinburgh. There is even a night bus s.

We stayed at double bed room on the last floor, room was big enough, with nice massive wood furniture, with small but useful and clean bathroom. Hotel is small, with no more than 6 or 7 rooms. away. For downtown you will need bus (bus station is almost in front of hotel), one way ticket 1,30, day ticket 3,20, but if you pay your room 45GBP per night like we did, it´s still very good deal and affordable hotel.

The location was great. We bought the RoyalPass that allowed us to use all hop on hop off bus companies, and one fothe stops through Majestic Tours was a 15min walk away. The hotel wasclean. We had 3 adults and 1 toddler, the family room was plenty bigenough for us to sleep, it was small, like most European hotel rooms, but then we didn’t spend a lot of time there, so it wasn’t an issue.

Bothing the hotel guest house led you to believe it had links to a hotel with respect to quality. The best part of our stay was the meal at the outsider restaurant !!.

The trip to the hotel was horrendous, with every possible thing going wrong! But the lady who ran the hotel was kind enough to stay up and wait for me to arrive, even though she had an early start the following morning. She got me a taxi the following day, and even made sure I got up in time to make the appointment I had the following day. Lovely, comfortable hotel run by helpful efficient lady who puts the customers first - would definitely stay here again.
Michael  — 30.12.2010.
Reception Staff helpful and polite. Breakfast menu excellent and suitable also for my vegetarian wife. Price of Hotel Room was lower than expected for "one night only" during the Edinburgh Festival. This Hotel was chosen primarily because of it’s proximity to the Ocean Cruise Liner Terminal (about 1 mile).
San  — 25.4.2011.
The hotel was nice, clean and the beds oh so comfortable. I liked that it was a little bit out of Edinburgh because it was peaceful and parking was accessible. I liked the friendly staff. The breakfast room as beautiful and the English breakfast wonderfully made to order.
