The hotel reception area has a great atmosphere with its bustlng tapas /pinchos bar to the front, and restaurant at the back. After a day out itwas a fun place to come back to and enjoy a glass of wine and a pinchobefore retiring to the room. We stayed in room 205 which was in thecheapest price category, but our room was a decent size with a smallbalcony overlooking the lively Cava Baja, great for people watching andfeeling part of Madrid's hustle and bustle (I'm not sure if all therooms have a bolcony so I'd recommend ours). The bathroom is small butstylish, and the shower is amazing! The bed was very comfortable, greatpillows. You do hear a little bit of noise from the bar downstairs andthe busy street below, but nothing that we found annoying, just a nicehum of Madrid life happening below us. We would definitely chose to staythere again as the location is great, really central and you can walk tomost places. Plus you are in the heart of the restaurant area so if youlove Spanish foo

We stayed 6 nights from Dec 25th. Front desk staff were very helpful, there were 4 different ones we met during our stay. They accommodatedour request to check in really early - like 9.30 am, something we neededafter our 7-hour flight and they upgraded us to a junior suite. Theyrecommended good restaurants and would even offer to reserve; we forgotour plug adapter and they lent us one; they answered every question weasked. The maitre'd in their restaurant is very nice - food was goodtoo. Location is convenient, hotel is on cava baja in Old Madrid, knownfor tapas bars and all night action, restaurants serving traditionalMadrileno cuisine; around the corner to La Latina Metro, Palacio Real,Mercado de San Miguel, Hop On Hop Off bus stop, historical churches, etc. hotel design is modern, not only in looks but with their facilitiesas well. We did not have to go too far to find something to do.

Wow, what a fabulous hotel. The staff is what makes this hotel so muchbetter than other hotels. Always kind and helpful and everyone speaksEnglish, not sure if that is a requirement of the hotel, but it ishelpful for visitors with only limited Spanish like myslef. The food atthe hotel was incredible and the sangria was the best we sampled allover Spain. I am in the travel industry and have had the opportunity tostay at fine hotels all over the world, and I must say this is now on mylist of favorites. Location is in the middle of everything!
