I loved everything about this hotel. We are a family of 5 and this was our last hotel in Europe after traveling for 7 weeks. It was humble and spotless and the owners couldn’t do enough to make our stay a positive experience. Many times they solved issues for us which were beyond the scope of ’accommodation’. Our room had a glassed-in balcony that could be opened onto the street, a great place to watch the passing parade. The small hotel is managed by a very kind and friendly couple who do their best to help, in English, with all enquiries. Nearby "Alhanbra" coffee bar has very nice continental breakfast at c. € 3.50 for coffee, croissant and freshly pressed OJ - much cheaper than any hotel offers. The hotel is value pure: no trimmings, no large entrance hall, reception etc, just the very clean and comfy rooms on the 4th and 5th floor of this residential house in a busy residential quarter of Madrid.

Very nice lady runs the hostal. She was friendly and professional. Weknew enough Spanish and she enough English to get by with very basiccommunication. The room was clean and the location put us near enough tomain sites to walk to most of them, but in more of a "real" Madridneighborhood than some tourist hotels.
