This is a great hotel, and I would highly recommend it to peopletraveling to Madrid who want to be near El Prado and other culturalhighlights in that city. It was literally steps away from the BotanicGardens and El Prado, and several great restaurants were also just astone's throw away. The staff are very helpful and friendly at thehotel, and they were more than willing to answer any questions, call ataxi, give us directions, etc. The room my son and I stayed in was huge,a welcome surprise after several hectic and action-packed days ofsightseeing in 3 other Spanish cities. Madrid was our last stop, and itwas wonderful to be able to spread out and relax in such a large andlovely space. The beds were comfortable and the room nicely appointed, and the bathroom was absolutely humongous; so large, in fact, we hadboth a shower stall and bathtub/shower combo in addition to a largecounter area with basin. We were off in a corner on the 3rd floor, andour room was super quiet although our small

The hotel is beautiful in a sort of traditional Spanish way. It's however well equipped with all what you need for modern comfort - internet, rain shower, bar, restaurant, etc. The room, though not very big, has high ceiling and a bathroom in marble that's almost as big as the bed area! The staff is friendly but quite a number of them don't speak much English. The lady at the reception (she told me she was new on the job, just one week) was very helpful and speaks very good English. Housekeeping also responded quickly to my request for iron, adapter and so on. My Spanish friends told me that I had picked a hotel in a very central location, they came for me one night and we walked to the Plaza Mayor and Puerto del Sol within minutes. There are plenty of restaurants along the way, all very charming and friendly. I love the people of Madrid, everyone I approached for directions was helpful. Thank you, Madrid for a very enjoyable stay!

The front desk staff were all very helpful in finding places and makingrecommendations. We ate at 2 great tapas restaurants suggested by them.Luka on the night shift, who learned excellent English from the CartoonNetwork, was extremely accommodation regarding transportation to theairport. All the others were delightfully pleasant too. The hotel has agreat location for all the Madrid museums and is not far from train andmetro stations. The buffet breakfast was on special for 10e and westocked up on delicious eggs, meats and pastries that gave us fuel forbusy days of sightseeing.
