Really nice hotel, with good facilities in a superb position for mountain walking etc. The situation of the hotel and the public rooms and the bed rooms. The helpful staff.

The location is fantastic, a great drive up to the hotel and then easyaccess to the cable car to continue even further into the heart of thePicos. As always with Paradors the standards are high but thisrestaurant warrants special mention for evenings and mornings. Secondstay here - expect to return.

Customer service. The next morningafter a very hearty breakfast, one of the best on our 11 day vacation wechecked out and walked next door to catch the cable car to the top ofthe mountain. Our location was perfect in that the first cable caropened at 1000. We went up at 1030 and were well ah.

Fab location with choice of eating & drinking in immediate locality - no shops tho. Very comfortable & well furnished public space. Great to have pool too. Owners don't really speak English so here is chance to try some Spanish - they did appreciate our very basic attempts! TAke time to look throughout the coffee table books on photogrAphy of the Picos!

A charming small hotel in an exceptionally beautiful location with veryfriendly and attentive owners. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldrecommend it without hesitation. Try and get a room with a terracefacing the highest peaks.

The setting was perfect! A dramatic mountain backdrop behind, pastures in front, local orchard and balconies draped with flowers everywhere. Staff were attentive and location for an early morning dash to the cable-car at Fuente De was just right (about 10 minutes in the car). Potes is 10 minutes back down the valley. Complimentary golden retrievers at your feet for breakfast on the garden terrace at the back just made our holiday!.

The location was excellent, as it was not far off the main road, but in an attractive, very quiet village, with great views. Easy to get to the cable car at Fuent De, and also easy to pop into Potes, the local town, for meals. The hotel had a nice lounge on the second floor. We had dinner one night in the restaurant and the food was good.

We found the hotel exceptionally clean and well kept. The residents'lounge area is very good, has WiFi and a balcony from which you can seethe mountain views. Although we didn't eat at the hotel, therestaurant is on site and appeared to have a good menu. Unlike anotherrecent reviewer, we did not experience any unpleasant 'farming'smells or problems with flies.

Hotel is situated in a beautiful village, between Fuente De and Poteswhere there are many facilities. There are lots of walks in themountains right near the hotel. We used a large scale map to find thetracks and paths.The staff were very helpful and did their best to helpus. There was lovely flower decked balcony outside the room, suitablefor sitting, and reading in the sun with the sound of the stream runningnearby. There was a comfortable lounge on the upper floor with a largetv. The Wi-fi worked well, apart from a while when I think the phoneline was not working. You could get a drink from the bar and sit outsidein the sun under a parasol. We booked half board at a very good price,with plenty to eat at breakfast, and the evening meal was good andtypical of the region. Some use was made of phrase books by us and thehotel to explain the menus when we did not understand, which proved tobe good fun when one was not always sure exactly what was coming but weenjoyed it all. This posada is wonderful and full of character. It's set high on the moutainside above the beautiful town of Potes with wonderful views out over the Picos. It's well signed through some very narrow lanes. When you arrive the owners are friendly and welcoming. The rooms are very comfortable and all have jacuzzi baths. It's a very relaxing place and there is a lounge for everyone to use. Breakfast is highly recommended too on the veranda listening to the cow bells.

This is a great place. The room was lovely and comfortable withgorgeous views. Their is a beautiful lounge area, although we didn'tuse it because our room had a new, large flat-screen tv. (Ask Jose howto get the tv, though. We get a "no signal" message and didn't know howto get the tv picture the first night.) They have a decent library ofDVD's that you can watch on that beautiful tv, too. Breakfast is verygood with cereal, fresh fruit, meat, yogurt--all the usual anddelicous. When we reserved, we wondered if we should stay in the townof Potes or out a bit, and we were very happy we didn't stay in town.We were there on a weekend and it was crowded and noisy in town. It wasa quick drive to town. Yes, the last half mile is narrow, twisty, and sometimes a bit steep, but knowing that there is a one-way system and that you won't meet an oncoming car makes a difference. Also, subsequent trips are easier. It's a matter of familiarity and a bit of caution. Don't let this keep you from booking
