The location of the hotel is the best part, just a few steps away from beautiful San Bartolo Beach. The hotel is also kept very clean in the room areas, however, they use a very strong disinfectant which is very unpleasant smelling.

Small family run and a very typical Spanish hotel. Very friendly welcome. The location was perfect with access to sandy beaches and coves. A short walk to bars and restaurants. The well stocked bar caters for quick meals with a selection of paellas, pastas, Spanish pizzas and cold meats etc. Good breakfast with a wide choice of meats and cheese plus cereals and toast etc. The hotel has a lot of atmosphere. Enjoy being a part of Galician culture here.

We thoroughly enjoyed our one-night stay at the Casa do Merlo, primarily because of the excellent service we received from our host, especially in the restaurant in the evening. The owner went out of his way to explain (in excellent English) the various choices on the menu, so we had a lovely dinner. The breakfast was also excellent - a buffet with lots of choice. The accommodation was spotless, and very comfortable.

The beautiful view. The room hd a great terrace with a table and chairs, perfect to enjoy the beautiful view of the "Ria" and the monuntains. It was a perfect spot to drink a glass of wine while looking throught the window, a great sunset. Parador has the best location in Ribadeo.
