The hotel and room was just as it was in its video. Staff was excellentand extremely welcoming. Showed us different rooms even from what wereserved. I asked if we could have the suite without champagne for anominal charge - manager accepted and it was a memorable room and view.Had a freind travel with us and her room was great as well. Breakfast indownstairs was great with plenty of selections and great capuccino. Roomwas extra clean, bath had good space and function... And the best partwas the views from the large windows - day and night. NOTE: Your GPS and Mapquest/Googlemaps will not find it - we thought it was San Marino, Italy - but San Marino is it's own republic/country. So you have to put in San Marino the country and then San Marino the city.

The Cesare is simply an excellent establishment that is in the very bestposition of allowing guests to enjoy all of what San Marino abundantlyoffers, everything is a few steps away, and parking is discounted andconvenient within area 6. Room 305 provides a spectacular 270 degreeview of the valley, my room was well appointed and comfy, the breakfastis generous and tasty - with very friendly staff as well. Great ambiencethroughout. I'm so glad I chose this hotel for my trip from Australia, thanks for the lovely experience in your beautiful secluded and statelycountry guys!

We got a nice little room with a large balcony and stunning view over the scenery and the mountains at distance and the city below. Perfect location at almost the highest point of town, close to the town entrance, just a couple of minutes to the historical center and close to everything. Little tricky at arrival because of problems to park the car nearby the hotel. Once at the reception we got a ticket for the nearby parking lots, which was comfortable (no hill walking).

Definitely, an International 4 star quality hotel (on a 5 star scale). Excellent location. A few steps from the historic center. Most of the staff is multi-lingual. We had no problems communicating in English with any of the front desk staff. They were very helpful and knowledgeable about the local area. The room was clean and well appointed. The European style breakfast was very nice and complete. The underground parking at the hotel is limited, tight and you will most likely be required to leave you car key at the front desk but it is very convenient. We had some problems in getting our TV setup to work; right after calling it in, a tech came to the room and took care of it without delay. We did not get to try the spa but suspect that if its staff is as good as the rest of the hotel staff was, the spa experience should be pretty good here. Will recommend it and it will be our first choice the next time we go to San Marino.

The location is perfect, with an amazing view of the valley. The hotel is very clean and quiet. My experience was unforgetable good, even if I was a little bit concerned because of reviews I red before my trip. I can advise everybody: don't worry, book this hotel for a pleasant stay in San Marino.

There's a garage under the hotel where, for a little bit extra, you canpark your car - or rather a man in a green uniform will park it for you.very convenient, especially with the hotel being right in the centre, where parking is otherwise extremely difficult.

My husband and I and our 15 year old daughter stayed at Hotel Silvana for 2 nights at the end of a two week holiday touring Umbria. We chose this hotel because we wanted to visit San Marino and also because of it's proximity to Rimini airport for our return flight home. The rooms are fairly basic, but we took the view that we would only be sleeping in them! However, the welcome we received was so friendly. On our first morning, we went into breakfast and 'grandma' had put out yoghurts, fresh fruit, bread, parma ham and salami and then Mario ( the owner) came to introduce himself to us and immediately offered us scrambled eggs.....which were delicious! On our first evening, we walked into San Marino from the hotel (about 10 mins) to car park 9 and then used the lifts into the centre. It is a very hilly town, so wear flat shoes! We noticed on our 2nd afternoon that there were menus for the evening, so we decided to dine at the hotel on our 2nd evening. There are about 10 tables at the f

Marco, his family and staff were very welcoming and friendly, and showedgenuine interest, with the young lad having a good attempt at talking tous in English. The room was very clean and comfortable, if maybe a bitsmall and the location was great both for San Marino and also Riccionewhere our friends all stayed, although our stay was much, much morepeaceful than theirs! Having the reasonably priced restaurant below wasgreat, and well supported by locals rather than tourists (guestsexcepted) so a sign of the good food served. I would highly recommendthis hotel and will stay there again if ever we are in the area again. Thanks Marco.

The hotel was 3/4 of a mile outside of the historic city and was easily within walking distance. The hotel staff was great and very attentive. We ate in the hotel restaurant both evenings of our stay and couldn't have asked for better food. We received a complimentary glass of the house wine with dinner and complimentary cake and after dinner drinks (limoncello and Lacrima de Cristo) both evenings. The food was great.

The hotel was right in the city centre and was very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was reasonable and it was two minutes to the shops and the castles of San Marino. It had a parking for our hire car and this did not cost extra. The staff were courteuos and helpful. The restaurant was good value. The city centre is extremely quiet at night so it is not for those who enjoy a lively nightlife. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and would definitly stay there again.
Brad  — 17.2.2012.
great location on the end of a dead-end street inside the town wall. Quiet. Stairs behind the street leads directly to the castle over looking the town. Hotel is modern with modern facilities. The bath was modern with a separate shower stall and a heated towel rack. Breakfast was good with rolls, croissants, ham, cheese, pastries and cereal. The owner was friendly and helpful, even allowing us to change rooms as we wanted to move further from the elevator.
Egor  — 29.1.2012.
Small homely hotel. Rooms are tiny but cosy and comfortable. Staff isfriendly, but poor English speakers. Be careful with your gps device:map of San Marino is not included in Italy map (maybe it was naive, butit was a surprise for us:) ). Hotel Rosa is located right near oldtowers - it is easy to visit all main sightseings. View from the room iswonderful, espetialy at sunset. Ask room with balcony and you will becharmed by the view.
