Very well run hotel in an eccentric location beside an abandoned mine but with unusually good facilities and unspoiled countryside for miles around and historic towns nearby.

Lovely, small B&B at the country side. Claudia, the hostess, is very friendly and welcoming. She will do everything she can to make your stay comfortable. We loved the colourful rooms, the quietness and the selfmade pumkin marmelade! A good place for a nice price to spend the night.
James  — 25.8.2010
Very relaxing, total peace and quiet. Hostess was very charming, and an excellent cook. Not worth driving 15 Kms into Mertola, as the food here was delicious ( Moroccan Style). A total escape - loved it!.

Spotlessly clean hotel with magnificent views across the river. There is lots of free parking either in hotel carpark, on street or carpark 50m away. There is lots to do in Mertola, the old town with it’s long history is fascinating and the museums although small are very good. There are also some good country walks, we easily filled 2 days without driving into the National Park.

A traditional roadside family-run inn in a pleasant quiet village well situated for visiting Mertola/Almodovar and surrounds. Very welcoming hosts, very clean decent sized room with comfortable beds; simple but pleasant decor. Excellent hearty breakfasts and interesting reasonably priced dinners in the small restaurant with good but inexpensive wines. Bar well used by locals and hunting parties. Would go back.
