Everything was fantastic. Brilliant Hotel. This was my first time inLisbon and this Hotel made my trip! We were in room 1506 and "the views"overlooking the park and river were amazing!!! The Hotel is placed rightin the centre of Lisbon and not far to walk to the "downtown area". I liked the fact that we weren’t "bang on itthe downtown area" as it was nice to "get back to the Hotel" away from100% hustle and bustle to "recharge".

I stayed in this hotel with my wife for pleasure seven nights from middle of July. As my comment about this hotel, I would like to recommend this hotel for most people who have plan to go to Lisbon, if they have some special requests or demands. But also the location is convenient to access anywhere we want go, despite it is in a very quiet area. Anyway, if you are finding a hotel in Lisbon right now, you should try this hotel!.

Excellent hotel, very good location, great hotel staff, veryprofessional and helpful (I could communicate in English with all thehotel personnel). Large, clean, well-designed rooms. I thoroughlyenjoyed my stay at this hotel in late July 2011 and when back to LisbonI’d certainly like to stay here again. My business executive room on the16th floor, fairly priced for a 5-star hotel, had a great view ofLisbon’s downtown, which is about 1 mile away, and the Marques dePlombal square, which to me is the hub of the city (but of course, Imight be wrong about this, as this was my first trip to Portugal.

Unfortunately there was not much to like. This hotel is an expensive rip-off. The hotel staff were indifferent and completelyunhelpful. The hotel director did not callas promised to resolve the situation. The hotel services are average.

This Hotel only have 3 stars but is better than most of the 5 stars hotels in Lisbon. Center of Lisbon with the subway access in front of the hotel reception. I need to be hosted in an Hotel in Lisbon for 5 or 6 days per month and this is one of my favorites. I believe I’ve already tried almost all hotels in Lisbon. This Hotel is just phenomenal with a very low price.

It’s not located in downtown but really convenient to get everywhere - Metro in front of the hotel, airport shuttle and several bus stops within 20 meters. Hotel room not big but clean and comfortable. Hotel staff are friendly especially Carlos. Highly recommend this hotel to either tourists or business men.

This hotel is in a perfect location in a very nice part of town and within 20 minutes walking distance from downtown Lisbon or you can catch the Metro which is only around the corner from the hotel. It is actually a very nice walk into the city centre with very expensive shops to do a spot of window shopping on the way in! The hotel itself is very nice. The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. The breakfast is the morning was very good with a great selection which is constantly being topped up all of the time, so no one misses out on anything!.

We choose the Sana hotel because it was was not too far from the airportbut not too near. We were very suprised at the the quality and receptionof the hotel. The location of the hotel is as good as you’ll get for all main transport hubs, for strolls around the old city and for eating out in the very many and varied nearby restaurants. The buffet dinners at the hotel itself are extremely good value for money, with a good variety of Portuguese dishes. We particularly enjoyed the salads and puddings. The buffet breakfast is excellent for a hotel in this price range. The reception staff were extremely helpful, and the service in the restaurant was courteous and friendly. The rooms we used were smallish but very clean, with bright, clean and spacious b.

The staff made this a most pleasant stay Antonio, the front desk managerwass one of the most helpful and pleasant hospitality people that I haveever encountered. The hotel was convenient to all forms oftransportation to make the trip a great experience. Our only complaintwas, and this does not reflect on the hotel, was that the nearbyresturants all employed streethawkers which we found to be irratating.Hotel gets an a- because we are spoiled by softer mattresses.

Excellent centrally located hotel, friendly staff - excellent breakfast choices of juices cereals etc or fried eggs and ham. Nice bar for a quick drink in hotel and you are only a few minutes walk toLisbon’s 2 metro lines. A short walk gets you right into the heart of Lisbon and there are plenty of restaurants just outside the hotel.

We sent 7 nights at Hotel Gat Rossio, and we are very happy to choose this accomodation. The hotel is in the city center so we used public transport only for gonig to the outer districts of the city. The room was very clean, and the staff was also very kind and helpful. It is reccomended to book a superior room.

I did very careful search for good hotel in Lisbon and I’m so happy I chose Gat Rossio, could not made better decision. We loved this hotel and returned a week later for our final night in Lisbon before leaving for France. The hotel is only 15/20 minutes €6 to the airport,10/15 minute walk to the shopping,restaurants and the river/sea and ferry terminals. It is situated in a little seedy area of Lisbon but we never felt threatened or felt uneasy. There are several supermarkets in the same street.

The hotel is very convenient for travel all over Lisbon as it is right outside the Metro station. The hotel was spotlessly clean and our room was very comfortable. All in all, this is a great hotel for a very good price. If I returned to Lisbon I would.

I was alone in a 4 beds room which looked as a hostel. The toilet and douche, being separate, were always free and clean. The place is very good, near Marques Pombal, which is unusual, because the majority of cheap residences in Lisbon are in the Martim Moniz area, which is a bit dirty and has some strange people.

Cheap price, spacious rooms. Shared kitchenette was a plus for mepersonally. We stayed here only for a night and appreciated the late check-in and early check-out accommodation the staff gave. I would, however,only recommend this to light travelers looking for a short, cheap stay.

The staff was excellent, very smiley :) The Nepalese receptionist was extremely helpful. He helped me take my heavy suitcase up to the 4th floor and th enext day took me to an Internet Cafe - wanting nothing in return. The hostel was very clean. I completely disagree with the comments in the website. It was very clean!!! Of course the place could be updated as some equipment and furniture is very old and will never look as shiny and clean as you would love it to be. But I think some poeple pay L15 pounds a night and expect quality of a 5* hotel where you would pay L300 a night. So I think all.

Mainly because it is cheap and you are right in the centre of the oldLisbon. The room where we stayed was quite nice with a private bathroom.There’s also a kitchen with a living room and if I am not wrong, all thebedrooms have a small balcony. I strongly advise you this one if you arelooking for a cheap place to stay and at the same time enjoy acomfortable time in Lisbon. This is what you are looking for. Again,location is perfect!.

Location is great. Quick walk from Rossio and very easy locate. The walk up the stairs with gear is tough, but I expected it. You get what you pay for. It is a cheap, old hotel in a great Lisbon location. There is only a bidet and sink in your room and it can be noisy from the street. If you want better, you’ve got to pay for it. They also let me keep my bags in the room for 3hrs after checkout without any problem.

For starters, the location of the Hotel is great if you are going tomove around Lisbon on foot or by public transport (Metro, Buses andTrain). If you want to gooutside Lisbon by Train, you can get to E. The train station is 4-5 minutes on foot from the Hotel. The generalfeatures of our room were also satisfactory - it had air conditioning(which is needed), a good tv, a safe deposit box to not carry all yourvaluables around, a very large and bright bathroom.

The hotel was good value for money, as shown in the pictures a little frayed at the edges but with good sized bedrooms and bathrooms that were cleaned every day. The breakfast was a good continental breakfast everything fresh (including the coffee and tea served to the table) although as the hotel was full it was a little squashed in the dining room. The hotel staff were very friendly and were more than willing to help with any problems or information needed. The good thing is the location right next to Rossio Square with the station and metro, and the fact that the hotel has a 24hr reception.

This hotel is in a great location - right in the middle of the city. The room and bathroom were good sizes and were very clean. The staff were all polite and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for cheap accomodation in the heart of Lisbon.
