Just a fabulous hotel really worth a stay! The city Beja is to hot for a long stay in July. We stayed on day at the hotel pool and one day in Evora before trawling south to the cost again. In the evening your can eat at the hotel restaurant, excellent but expensive or in the city. Excellent meet and fairly cheep.

We (family of three with 10 year old boy) really enjoyed our brief stay at Poussada Beja. The ambience of this spacious, historic building has been well preserved wthout sacrificing comfort and modern facilities. The staff, particularly the lady on reception, were excellent. Beja itself is charming and we would recommend this hotel for a short break to both couples and families.

We close Pousada Beja as our base for our 7 night family holiday to the Alentejo region. Hotel staff were efficient, courteous and knowledgable and the standards of room servicing. cleanliness were very high. The traditional construction and sympathetic conversion of this historic building means that bedrooms remain cool but also benefit from air con and good showers.
