The location of this 2-star hotel could not be much better! Lying, literally, at the foot of Wawel Castle, the Royal Hotel is but a few minutes' walk from the Old Town and it's Rynek Glowny (Main Market Square). Much loved by Cracovians, the green promenade, known as the Planty, which encircles the Old Town is next door to the hotel, and adds to the overall uniqueness of the hotel's situation. Visitors to Krakow travelling on a budget can rest assured that the Royal Hotel offers real value for money. The meal plan for the Royal Hotel is inclusive of a hot buffet breakfast which provides more than enough nourishment for a full day's sightseeing, shopping or enjoying one of the many excursions available in the Krakow area; be it Zakopane, Wieliczka or a sombre visit to Auschwitz. Activities / Services: Parking, Restaurant, Meeting/Banquet Facilities, Bar, Newspapers, Laundry, Ironing Service, Bridal Suite, Massage, Children's Playground, Shoe Shine, Hiking, Ticket Service, Luggage Storage ...

I had a great time at this hotel, I have ticked a lot of the boxes aboveas I see this hotel as a budget hotel because of the price but it hadluxurious rooms and gourmet meals in the restaurant, the room wasspotless and very very clean! We had so much space and really felt athome right away! Breakfast was continental but free! The hotel staff andpeople in the restaurant were very friendly and helpful! This restaurant is situated right beside the castle which is such a wonderful thing to see, there is also a very busy and bubbly restaurant to the side of the hotel which u can gain access to every night but there is not a noise in ur bedroom from it and I mean that! The craic in there was great and the food even better! Definitely check out the massive meat skewer and the pork knuckle! There was a chinese 2 minutes from the hotel, the main shopping mall was about a 10-15 minute walk and very easy to find with great shops... there are cheaper stalls and then more luxurious stores inside.

This is an excellent hotel, with everything you need at low cost. The service was outstanding, the rooms spotlessly clean and the staff were very helpful. I stayed with a group of students who found the place inviting and welcoming. It cost not much more than a hostel but surpasses them when it comes to value for money and quality of service. I chose this hotel having stayed there 5 years ago with my partner. The hotel has since been refurbished, and the new deluxe rooms are enormous. My single room was actually a double suite! The standard rooms are also very good quality, roomy and have ensuite. They probably match a regular room in other hotels. The buffet breakfast is served at sensible times, and caters for every taste. The restaurant is also excellent value for money. I recommend the lemon vodka. The location is also excellent - 5 mins walk to the main square and dead opposite Wawel castle. I simply cannot praise the hotel enough. Thanks very much.

This was a most suitable hotel, just a few minutes walk from the mainsquare, either through a shopping area or through park land. Yet farenough away to be away from noise and be able to get a peaceful nightssleep. Very close to the Castle and Jewish Quarter, also about 40 minswalk, if so minded, to Schindlers museum, though the tram stop is rightoutside. The staff were pleasant, helpful and courteous and allunderstood and spoke excellent english. The restaurant attached isexcellent, huge meals very tasty, massive choice and very cheap. It wasalways very busy and we were in Krakow Mon to Fri. The rooms were cleanand beds comfy, we were in the new part but it still felt quaint and wasin keeping with the rest of the building though everything was new &modern. The passageways had thick carpeting throughout so no noise ofguests walking about. I would most definately recommend this hotel andwould stay again.
