After 6 weeks travelling in Europe and 20+ hotels from Prague to Budapest, the Pod Rosa now stands out as Hotel of the Year (for me). I stayed there 3 nights and although the weather was erratic with rainy showers at times (they offered umbrellas), all of the front of house/desk staff were always wonderful and unfailingly helpful and friendly. I was pleased to see them all again at different times (12 hour shifts!) and they all seemed happy to see me too. The room was spacious and well furnished with a good desk and chair so good for using my laptop (which also fitted in the safe). The toiletries were real 4 star standard (all by l'Occitane) so far better than most. The breakfast was also really good with varied choice- smoked salmon 2 days of 3 - yum, and also excellent raspberry puree drink. Omelettes/eggs to order I think (list on table) but did not try (or was offered).Lastly, thanks to for the great (prepaid) rate! I'd love to stay again.

Hotel's best asset is it's location, entering on a hot sunny afternoon, the marble floors and air con are very welcoming, the staff are efficient but lack hospitality charm which is often the way in Poland, they are efficient but often a little chat at the hotel reception can be the icebreaker you need when visiting a city. Rooms were clean and comfortable, mini bar filled with expensive drinks, complementary water and no tea and coffee facilities. breakfast was fine but for more atmosphere I would probably suggest having breakfast in the Market square

The location of the hotel is very good - just 3mins walking distance from the Market square and at the same time 15mins walking distae from the railway station. The interior was very picteresque. The room was really big and included an excellent bathroom.
