The hostel is perfectly situated - very close to the main railwaystation (but you don't hear the trains), and in the same time just a fewsteps from the Old City (I could see Barbakan from my window). Matejkosquare is very beautiful itself, too. The hostel is situated in a pretty19 century apartment building with an original wooden staircase inside(there is an elevator, too). Actually, the hostel consist of severalapartments on different floors, each of them having several rooms (therewere three rooms in my apartment), one or more bathrooms and a hall witha mini-kitchen (having water supply, a fridge, an electric kettle, atable, a pair of chairs, dishes and tea/coffee/sugar for free), whichcan be used by all people staying in the apartment. Some rooms havetheir own bathrooms. The hot water in bathrooms is really hot, not justwarm. The rooms are very big and high (these are original rooms of a 19-century middle-class apartment, so you can imagine their dimensions). The furniture is big,

I stayed in Hostel Butik for 5 nights and it was all very easy. Staff isvery very helpful and smiling. Hostel has perfect location to visit thecity and go to the main train station. All 3 mins walk. Also its locatedon a quiet and a very nice street which is very quiet and someresturants. They have plenty of space to sit, talk and relax. I wouldhighly recommend the hostel for anyone.

I liked everything! The hostel is under recent new management and thedesk staff indicated that some changes had been made. The building wasan old hotel; it's located just at the start of the Royal Walk, abovethe Barbican and the top of Florianska Street, and two blocks from thetrain and bus stations. Highly recommend it!
