Very good value, and great location in the Jewish Quarter. Didn't eat in the hotel, as preferred to explore, and there are lenty of fine restaurants nearby. Fifteen minutes walk to the Old Town, or easy (and cheap - about 30p) tram ride from near the hotel.

The Hotel Ester is a charming little hotel with a lot of character andin a great location. The staff were very friendly, polite and helpfuland our overall experience of staying was very positive and I woulddefinitely recommend the hotel for anyone visiting Krakow.

I have just returned from my first visit to Krackov. Hotel Ester was anexcellent choice of hotel, very clean, freindly staff food wasfantastic. I would highly recommend this hotel. Located in the Heart ofJewish District in Szeroka Square and next door to Aierl Restaurent(will is a must for food). Nearly all the places of interest on theJewish walking route. Many other very good restaurents nearby, it is 100yards to tram stop if your mobility is limited and 10-15 minute walkfrom main square. Also 150 yards from Jewish market square where localfood and entertainment is situated. Atm located next to hotel. Checkoutis 12am which is really good!!! This hotel is excellent value for money.My father and I travelled with a group and all 24 were highlycomplementary of the hotel and its facitities. I hope to return with myfamily next year dv and will definately choose this hotel again. If youchoose this hotel you will not be disapointed. Booking.com had the bestrates too.

The location of the hotel was excellent just 10 minutes through the parkand you were at the main market square. The castle was right beside thehotel and we sat on the terrace bar with a nice cold beer watching thepeople and the boats on the river. At night for being so central it wasreally quiet and so we got great nights sleep after all our sightseeing. We ate in the Hotel a few times and the food was lovely and alsowe were given vouchers which enabled us to either our lunch free ordrinks at night which was excellent (although you could not use them inthe terrace bar which was a bit disappointing). Breakfast was served upto 10:30 which was great as we went a walk up the river first beforeenjoying a great breakfast with plenty of variety hot and cold food. Theroom was really clean and the bathroom looked newly decorated. Thereception booked us our trips to the salt mines and Auschwitz and alsoour taxi back to the airport. All in all I would highly recommend thishotel and hope to retur

A change in my travel plans meant I needed to leave my suitcase at thehotel the day before I was due to check in. The receptionist, Maria,could not have been more helpful. When I finally arrived for my stay atthis beautiful hotel my case was already in my room. Dinner andbreakfast in hotel restaurant were first class and I only wish I couldhave spent more time there to take advantage of the leisure facilitiesand the rooftop terrace which, unfortunately, was not open as it was toocold when I visited. Pod Wawelem is ideally situated for sightseeing inthis wonderful city, a short walk to the Rynek, Kazimierz and bus andtram stops. I cannot recommend the hotel highly enough and willdefinitely return and stay longer.

My wife and I had an fantastic stay at the Hotel Pod Wawelem. The hotelis modern and clean. The food is very good. The service was excellent.The room we stayed in was amazing with fantastic views over the castleand river. We had a prime view of the fireworks over the river. Thelocation of the hotel is perfect just a short walk to the center of theOld Town, yet quiet. We have stayed in Krakow many times and this is thebest hotel we have stayed in, also very good value for money. We willdefinately be going back.

My wife and I had an fantastic stay at the Hotel Pod Wawelem. The hotelis modern and clean. The food is very good. The service was excellent.The room we stayed in was amazing with fantastic views over the castleand river. We had a prime view of the fireworks over the river. We have stayed in Krakow many times and this is thebest hotel we have stayed in, also very good value for money. We willdefinately be going back.

Location to the Old Town Sq could not have been better.First impressionof the hotel from outside looks really old & in poor condition, but onceinside it was the complete opposite.Staff were excellent & veryfriendly.I Would recommend this hotel to anyone who wished to stay close/ near to the main Ols Town Sq for restaurants & music..a real buzz.

The hotellocation is superb and the fact that there are quiet court side roomsavailable for those who like to sleep with windows open is an asset.One can immagine a different picture with the street side rooms as thenearby clubs have a rather boisturous night crowd. The reception deskdesk staff (with one exception) is extremely professional, competent,and pleasant.

Beautiful City, Fab Hotel, Location was great and staff extremelyfriendly and helpful. Arrived at 11.30am and there was no problemletting us into our rooms early. Rooms very spacious and spotless.Excellent organisation of Day Trips to the Salt Mines and Auschwitz.Didnt have Breakfast included in the price of the hotel, to add it wasvery expensive, but pleasant. Food was fab in the hotel bar, a littlemore expensive than the average over there. Only downfall was noresidence bar, couldnt even get water at the reception after 12.00 am.But they would deliver room service for a nice fee ! But there is a 24hrsupermarket across the street, and an ice machine on every floor.

The hotel was spotlesslyclean and nicely decorated. The swimming pool was pleasant and the saunawas a nice luxury because we had torrential rain during our stay. Thelocation of the hotel is excellent for the castle and only a short walkto the old town and also in a good spot for walks along the river. Wewould definitely book your hotel again if we return to Krakow and thehotel deserves to be successful. Many many thanks

A classic European style hotel superbly located on the Main Market Square in Krakow. The hotel is elegant but relaxed and our room was spacious and comfortable with a separate lounge and bedroom. Breakfasts were great and served in a lovely restaurant. Staff were wonderful; evidence of the level of customer service was their willingness to give us a free night's accommodation following their temporary inability to locate our luggage which they were storing after checkout and which meant we missed our train from Krakow. We even received a personal note from the General Manager and a fruit platter! In every way a fantastic experience.

The hotel was beautiful and the location was the best for a vacationerin Krakow, right on the square. This is a European style small hotel andcan not be compared to an American style luxury hotel, none the less,the staff was accommodating and the service great and the room wasbeautiful..

This hotel has a fabulous location, right on Krakow's main square, in the old quarter - perfect for sightseeing, promenading & watching the world go by from the many restaurants & cafes. Romantic 20 minute horse and carriage rides start just outside the hotel, well worth the 100 PLN charge. The staff are friendly & helpful and breakfast was a simplel polish / continental buffet with hot options cooked to order. Free wifi and PC / Internet facilities were good extras.

This is an excellent apartment-hotel with an incredible value for its services and ammenities. We had a full kitchen which allowed us to cook breakfast for ourselves. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The location is incredible: 1 block away from the main train station and modern shopping centre in Krakow. Only a few blocks away from Stare Miasto or Old Town. The bus to the Wieliczka Salt Mine is located just in front of the building. I highly recommend the Red Brick Apartments if you are staying in Krakow.

The apartments are really nice. They are spacious - we had five people and five beds in ours and were not cramped for space at all. The apartments are modern and clean. There is a dishwasher. The staff is exceptionally helpful and friendly and available 24/7. The location is very convenient. You can walk to the train station, the bus station, the shopping mall (very nice), a large bread store, a Carrefour grocery store, and the old town and many of the sites within minutes. The bus for the salt mine stops right in front of the hotel. We can't imagine a nicer or more convenient place and would definitely stay there again. We booked two apartments, one for our family of 5 and a smaller one for my parents and we were both on the same floor. Their apartment was equally nice. There is an elevator to access upper floors.

My husband and I stayed at the Red Brick Apartments for three nightsrecently and we were absolutely delighted with our choice. The apartmentwas very roomy and nice and warm seeing as it was really cold during ourstay! Twin beds pushed together rather than a double but that didn'tbother us too much, the beds were very comfy. The apartments are located just outside the OldTown, just beyond the Barbakan and are really handy for getting to thecentre. We booked two apartments, one for our family of 5 and a smaller one for my parents and we were both on the same floor. Their apartment was equally nice. There is an elevator to access upper floors.

This is an excellent apartment-hotel with an incredible value for its services and ammenities. We had a full kitchen which allowed us to cook breakfast for ourselves. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The location is incredible: 1 block away from the main train station and modern shopping centre in Krakow. Only a few blocks away from Stare Miasto or Old Town. The bus to the Wieliczka Salt Mine is located just in front of the building. I highly recommend the Red Brick Apartments if you are staying in Krakow.

My husband and I stayed at the Red Brick Apartments for three nightsrecently and we were absolutely delighted with our choice. The apartmentwas very roomy and nice and warm seeing as it was really cold during ourstay! Twin beds pushed together rather than a double but that didn'tbother us too much, the beds were very comfy. The Kitchen was adequatewith microwave, fridge, dishwasher and kettle. The only thing I thoughtwas missing was a toaster. Nice bathroom with bath and shower overrather than a shower compartment. This was O.K. but you had to eithersit or kneel in the bath to use the shower. Plenty of hot water andreally quite powerful. The apartments are located just outside the OldTown, just beyond the Barbakan and are really handy for getting to thecentre. Turn left out of the apartment and a short walk (3/4 minutes)brings you to the Floryan Gate which brings you on to Florianska Streetand a few yards more and you are in the main square. The apartments are really nice. They are spacious - we had five people and five beds in ours and were not cramped for space at all. The apartments are modern and clean. There is a dishwasher. The staff is exceptionally helpful and friendly and available 24/7. The location is very convenient. You can walk to the train station, the bus station, the shopping mall (very nice), a large bread store, a Carrefour grocery store, and the old town and many of the sites within minutes. The bus for the salt mine stops right in front of the hotel. We can't imagine a nicer or more convenient place and would definitely stay there again. The Hotel is central to the city centre of Krakow. All excursions areeasily accessible. You are across from the Russian Embassy and there isa large police presence which made us feel safe at all times. The HotelStaff is amazing. Krakow has a variety of restaurants and cheap. I atecrepes with fresh fruit for $3.00 Canadian. Four of us ate 3 coursesplus large amounts of beer and drinks for less than $100.00 Canadian. Wewill definitely return. The apartments are only missing airconditioning. They do provide large fans.

ventus rosa apartments are well located within walking distance to all krakows main attractions and transport links.the reception area and stairway to the apartments will worry you a little on arrival but fear not . the rooms are very nice and spacious, with plasma tv and 4 star standard bathrooms.the receptionist will help you with anything you need, eg booking trips- taxis etc.you will struggle to get accomodation of this standard anywhere at this price.the main square is a 10 minute stroll away and the city of krakow is one of the best weve ever visited.the only critisism is the appartment balconys they where filthy and looked like they hadnt been cleaned in years.appart from that i would score the appartments 8.5/10.

The rooms where quite spacious, well stocked with utensils for cooking if you so wish, bathroom had underfloor heating, the stair ways where lit and clean, staff where excellent, we had a problem in our room with the hot water, once notified the staff moved us instantly to another apartment with out quible, at the front og the building there is minimal road noise and none at night, nor is there any tram noises, the apartment are approximatly 15 mins walk from the station and not even 5 mins to the old town, oh there where a few comments about security and the police car parked opposite, well it is for the Russian Embasy, nothing to do with our security or being a "dodgy" area it is standard practice, all in all excellent can't fault them

Characterful b&b in a superb location, could not be closer to the heartof Krakow. Excellent continental breakfast and the room had recentlybeen refurbished. Free wi-fi quality was very good.

I loved the age and history of the building, combined with the comfort of modern amenities. The location was fantastic. And the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly - thank you! I will definitely recommend Tango House to anyone visiting Krakow, and hope to return there next year!

The stuffs are very friendly, and breakfast was also good. The place is not big like a hotel, so it is warm atmosphere. It is a nice and comfortable place to stay, although it is very close (a few min.) to the market place. The room is clean and large room for two. The room I stayed was not on the street side, so it was quiet and I could sleep well.

Everything was very good, the owners are very hospitable people. Breakfasts are delicious, the rooms are clean and warm in winter, the hotel offers free parking. This hotel is located not far from the center, about 10 minutes going by bus (2.5 PLN per person), or by taxi 20-25 PLN. We enjoyed staying there. Good value for money.

Don't forget that reception is located on the other side of thesquare, so first you should go there to receive key! (Not so far).Location was great - at the heart of the city! The staff was friendly.We had an early check-out, the hotel arranged breakfast for us at 06-00.Lots of thanks for that! The room was small but comfortable.

Staff speaks excellent English. They are friendly and accommodating. The rooms are stylish and clean. We had an apartment but there are common areas with tables, kitchen, clothes washer, etc., for those with rooms. Beware that the rooms are on the 3rd floor, so I would not recommend for those who have trouble with a lot of stairs. Also an excellent breakfast and restaurant on site.

The location is just perfect!!! Also the hotel staff was very pleasant. There was a small problem with hot water, but it was resolved rather quickly, so we did not suffer at all. The room is quite big, clean and very comfortable. We were allowed to check out at 2:00 p.m. without additional fees, because our room was not booked for that day. The hotel values the price. The best choice to stay for a couple of days in the center of the city for less of money

the smiley girls at the reception, everytime so helpful, the comfy bed, they sell beverages and beer at the hostel for cheap, great location, and very good cheap restaurant just in front of the hostel (like have a good meal for 20pln, ask the reception).

Best hostel I've stayed in so far. If I ever return to Krakow (And believe me I will) There will be no question where to stay! Nice friendly and funny staff :) Room was good, bathrooms clean. Breakfast I can't judge (But I guess for that we can blame Mr.Hangover)

Absolutely fabulous, boutiquey little hotel. Very friendly staff who were only too happy to help organise spa boookings/taxi bookings/airport transfers. Loved every minute of our stay in Krakow - it's a brilliant city. If you stay at Cracowdays you must visit the restaurant across the road (with the green signage) the food there is lovely.
