The Visconti palace hotel is much more of a "business" hotel than a onesuitable for a vacation. Yes, it’s clean and esthetic and the rooms arequite comfortable with everything you need (they give you a bottle ofmineral water per day – and that’s the only thing you’ll get for freebtw, every other little thing will cost you a fortune). Most of thehotel staff is quite simpatico (especially fabio & the guy from frascati!) The morning buffet is quite rich. Its 15 minutes from the center byfoot, so you’ll never need a Bus\Tram.
Anonymous  — 9.10.2010
Location of the hotel is great, especially if using the shuttle express (only 8 Euros) from Fiumicino airport, the first shuttle stop is roughly 100 meters from the hotel which is a lot better than traveling to the Termini station. Also getting into the center of Rome is a 10 minute walk or 5 minute walk to Vatican City from the hotel. Price is moderate if ordering one of the deals offered and services within the hotel are good, the terrace is a nice place to relax and have a drink after long walks through Rome. Staff at the front desk was helpful.

The hotel was ideally located - not too far from central rome or theVatican which made walking to the sites easy and conveniant. Thelocation of the hotel was ideal - it is a 5 minute walk from the piazzacavour where there are regular shuttle busses to and from the airportwhich made reaching our destination easy and hassle free. The breakfastbuffet included in the hotel rate (I understand that not all ratesinclude breakfast so ensure you check prior to booking!) Was of goodquality and well stocked whilst the room itself was comfortable andclean. The hotel played a significant part in ensuring.

The hotel was very modern looking, very clean and tidy. The hotel staff were very helpful, giving us info about local places to eat and where to catch the bus, which was just across the street. The hotel was in a lovely area, 5 minutes walk from the metro line A Lepanto. All attraction are really easy to ge.

Staff were polite and friendly. The hotel was in a great location for the Vatican and a nice walk along the river to the castle and over the bridge to Piazza Navona. The rooms were quiet and the hotel is on a good street for shopping. Free WI FI is always a bonus and this hotel has it.
Diana  — 20.6.2011
Hotel was very clean and modern, actually this is why I chose it after looking for 3 weeks for a hotel to stay in Rome. We also had dinner in the evening and the food and wine was great, staff was very friendly. Internet was wired and working with no problem and we also asked some adapters an we were given right away. Weather was rainy when we visited and we could borrow umbrella.

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Capannelle only for an evening before flying out of Rome. Of the three hotels we stayed in while in Italy, this was the only hotel that we felt deserved the number of stars given in the hotel reviews. We chose this hotel because of its proximity to Airport Ciampino and the fact that they had a hotel shuttle. This is a great hotel is you’re there to conduct business or looking for something close to the airport. I would not recommend this hotel for a tourist looking for something in Rome as they city center is not near and the cost of a taxi from the center to.

Wonderful Hotel with a great location in Rome. We drove to Rome so parking was important. Hotel has free spaces within its grounds. Rooftop relaxation area looked nice but we did not use as our trip was in November! Would definately recommend this hotel!.
Michael  — 21.11.2010
The hotel is a converted villa with approximately 25 rooms, we paid a premium for a suite that is located at the top of the building, it was a perfect place to spend our honeymoon and enjoy what Rome had to offer. The hotel is located just off the Via Vento a place frequented by the stars during the 70’s etc. The prices around the area reflect that, however, if you have the money to spend it is well worth the experience. My wife and I loved it!!.

The terrace outside our room was stunning and gave us a great view of Rome city. Suggestion for restaurants to dine please do not follow hotel staff suggestion please do your own search.

This hotel may not be for everyone, but if you’re visiting Rome in theSummer with children then don’t look elsewhere. We went in August andRome was hot. We went sight seeing in the morning- hopped on the train and its about 10 mins to link up with the RomeMetro - you can go anywhere on 1 ticket for just 1 euro. Eg 25mins afterleaving the hotel we were at the Vatican. After morning sightseeing we’dcome back to the hotel and have lunch - our apartment had a goodkitchenette, a lounge and a separate bedroom.

Before my trip I’ve read a lot of bad reviews about this hotel so I wasready for a descent hotel. But the hotel was much better than I thought. In the night hotel iseasy reachable with night bus n6 to piazza Balduina (5-7 min walking tohotel). Next time i’ll definitelystay there.
Martin  — 3.3.2011
In short, there is nothing but good experience from this hotel. So close and conveniant to the metro station Balduina and the personnel is quick help. Concideraing all criterias I would say that this hotel is extremely well worth its price and if ever I have the chance to return to Rome then this hotel will be on the search list. Excellent service, Mr. Allioto arranged a shuttle to take us to the hotel and was very kind to wait for us (we arrived almost at midnight). The website doesn’t tell too much, but there’s a hairdryer and almost anything you need as if it was a hotel. There is a small supermarket just around the corner and pizzerias on the street that’s behind the hotel, and you are in an ideal place to know Rome by foot (we love to walk) or by bus (there’s a hop-on-hop-off bus stop almost in front of the hotel). If you want to know Rome, this is the perfect place to go as a fa.

This apartment is in an excellent location(right(right near Trevi fountain and short walk from Spanish Steps) and we walked to almost everything. I was there with my two kids and the one bedroom apartment was good space and better value than two hotel rooms. The apartment was comfortable, especially the bed in the bedroom. I would definitely consider staying here again.
Maya  — 30.6.2011
The hotel has the best location- a minute walk from the trevi fountain. the room is designed and very pretty. i would recommend this hotel- it is a bit more expensive from those cheap two-three star hotels in rome, but you will pay just a bit more and feel like you are in a four-five star room. it’s really nice there.

Hotel Edera was a nice hotel in a very nice part of Rome. Leaving thehotel and heading left, it is located a few blocks away from a park, which is sitauted next to the Collosseum and Metro station. The second time when we came back ,we had the suprize ,they told us we were overbooked and they sent us to onother hotel. At least was not 12;30 am,but was very inconvinient and thenew hotel was not the same as Edera.

The rooms are clean and the breakfast, although a small selectionprovides a good start to the day - the coffee is the best I had in rome, and its included in the price! We originally were going to stay at another hotel in Rome, but we decided to book another hotel because we wanted a better location. I made the reservation at Fellini Inn the night before and I am so glad I did! The hotel staff was amazing! We got a warm welcome and even got put in a brand new room that had a fantastic bed and shower. We walked everywhere in Rome, except to the Vatican, but the metro was close by, so we took that. They helped us with our luggage.

I thought the Fellini Inn was central for all our needs in assessibility in viewing Rome. The staff very obliging and friendly and helpful with any enquires. The one thing that on the advice of the hotel we were adviced to take the pre ordered taxi from the airport on arrival , unfortunately it did not arrive, I feel if the service is offered it should be dependable. All in all the stay was very good and I wll recommend the hotel to friends,.

The street that the hotel is on is a very short walk from Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps and the Metro. It is in a very nice neighborhood, and we often began our evening strolls right from the hotel. Not only was this hotel a great value, but it was a memorable and enjoyable place to spend a vacation!.

The Hotel is located on a quiet negiborhod but close enough to the main street where you can easily catch the number 8 tram to argentina squer in the turist center of Rome. Rooms where clean and big. It was a bit difficult to locate the hotel even to our taxi driver with a GPS, i recognized the hotel with google maps and street view, one section of the hotel is under costruction so its difficult to see the hothel sign, but it doesn’t bother and we didn’t hear anything. I would sugest to take the train from FCO airport direction O.

The location is in Trastevere which is the best place for eating out and just hanging out in cafes/bars. The hotel staff was very helpful and nice, our room was clean and very large, maybe 50 sq. the hotel is also located a little bit off the main restaurant area (just a few blocks) so it was peaceful. also the breakfast was good, there were a lot to choose from, and there was even soy milk :).
Mariska  — 16.12.2010
Good ambiance, good room and excellent beds. Everything was clean. Mostimportant the hotel was centrally located in Rome. Just a short travelby bus, tram or metro and we were in the centre of Rome.

This hotel is in the middle of being refurbished (almost finished) it has been very tastefully decorated and is very clean and comfortable. The hotel staff could not be more helpful and went out of their way to make our stay as accomodating and as comfortable as possible. An excellent continental breakfast was served. We would definitely recommend this hotel.
Ginie  — 4.11.2010
The hotel was a bit difficult to locate. From the outside the hotel looked dodgy, but inside it was beautiful, clean and classy. We returned from Assisi a day earlier and stayed at this hotel a second time. Will definitely recommend this hotel. Close enough by train and bus to all the main sights in Rome.

Only 20 minutes walk to the Colosseum or Basilica of St. John Lateranmakes the hotel very nicely placed in the city centre. There are twobuses available which can take you anywhere in Rome. This is not a hotel -it’s a b&b - keep that in mind when booking.

Wow! This was a well equipped apartment very close to the vatican. Advertised as the 4 person apartment, but slept 5 in a double, then a bunk and single bed. Well situated; near metro and easy walks. Would definitely stay again.
Chris  — 27.2.2010
Hotel is in an excelent location - just outside of Vatican wall, only ashort bus ride to all other major attractions. Room was spacious for 6(by Rome hotel standards) clean, ac, and staff was very helpful. Freeparking was a huge bonus for us as well.
Ana  — 20.9.2010
Spacious apartment with good kitchen and bathroom. Nice value for the money. Rather than cramming an extra bed in a studio, they kindly accommodated us in a 2 bedroom apartment for only 25 euros more. A very pleasant upgrade.

Came to the Camping Village Roma after spending 3 nights in a hotel in Rome, booked mainly because of price, reviews and facilties to chillout after doing all the sights in the City. Excellent location and very easy to get to on the metro and bus. Had bungalow for 3 which was cosy but more than adequate for our 4 nights stay, was in effect half a static caravan consisting of bed area with some storage plus excellent bathroom, so could hear some noise but it is a campsite after all. Air conditioning in the room was ideal as early August was very hot. Pool area was good for chilling, no problem getting a sunbed, bar, restaurant and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Very well kept and clean. Prices were good. Large Panorma Supermarket just over the road. Round trip to the Vatican available for only 2 euro but bus stop just outside if you wanted to make your own way. Used transfer to Campino airport for 12 euros - excellent service - took the hassle out of making our own way
Anindya  — 26.12.2011
We went with a family of four and took a Chalet. We had a five year old.We enjoyed the stay, had a kitchen to do our cooking and nearby there isa big supermarket so no probs. Its best if you hire a car since its abit out of town. Using the public transport means taking the bus andthen the tube, hence a bit hectic especially if you have a kid. Also theLineB trains are really crowded. Till Termini its LineA is fine butafter that LineB to go to Coloseau you may find the train very crowded.Hence best to take the bus from Termini and avoid LineB. Also one caution: do not buy the Vatican pass from Camping Village which is 26 euros. They say it avoids the line. However its not worth it since the lines are not that big you may need to wait 45 mins, which is well worth since even with 26 it will take you 30-45 mins to walk from their office. The normal tickets are 10 euros, so you are paying 16euros for nothing much. The Roma pass which is 25 Euros is well worth and hence do take it from Camp

Well, Rome was our first stop on an almost 4 week vacation so we were ona budget. Alitalia lost our luggage for 2 and 1/2 days. The staff atCamping Roma could not have been more helpful and kind to help us getour luggage back and helping us to charge our camera batteries since alladapters were in luggage (bad idea). The girls in the front Ester,Silvia and Jocelyn were very kind and understanding thank you so muchgirls. The camp ground is kept immaculate a little loud out by bar atnight but you couldn't hear in your cabin with ac by the way. The campground is on a bus line that gets you to the metro so you could behaving a glass of wine on the Spanish Steps in about 30 minutes. You canbuy a Rome pass at Camping Roma so the bus, metro and 2 museums areincluded 3 days for about 25 Euro'S. They have free Wi-Fi when it’s notbeing bogged down by all the face bookers....LOL... Well, I hope this ishelpful to some remember it's not a 5 star hotel it is a camp ground sohave fun and be safe. Als

Friendly staff, good location (even though hard to find first time ifyou forgot to print a map - no one knows where this street is)Exceptionally clean and tidy, Wifi worked great on my iPad, goodbreakfast, A/C(heater) worked well. Cheap and very good coffee even in avending machine. Would definitely stay there again!
Karin  — 5.2.2012
The room was very large and clean. Common bathrooms were clean.Breakfast was simple but abundant with fresh fruit and bread andcoffees. The hotel is in a quiet residential neighborhood with verylittle evening noise. Each room had ac. The hotel was convenient to themetro into downtown Rome. Restaurants nearby were good for dinner.
Jose  — 6.1.2012
Nice staff, very helpful, great location (close to the Metro Station"Bologna"), very good facilities (opened since 2008), price quite goodand breakfast (juice, fruit, brioche, coffe), food machine, wc and bathzone out of the rooms. Good choice especialy for single people who wantto visit the city or for groups, not quite good for couples or peoplewith small children. Rooms with lockers that you can keep your stuff. Ifyou don't want to spend too much money, the hostel have a bistrorestaurante where you can eat some typical dishes. Definitely I wouldstay again in this hostel...
