When booking the hotel, i asked if we could possibly have a view of the castle. The room was wonderful great view and the room was lovely. Did not think the receptionist was not very friendly did not say what time breakfast was nothing about the hotel.. We asked to book ino the resturant for dinner and we were told it was closed on sundays, this was a bank holiday. The breakfast was lovely staff very friendly. When checking out the never offered us a print out of the bill which we would always get from all hotels an never asked us did we have a nice time. Would go back to the hotel for the town and the hotel it self.

We were seeking a quiet, relaxing few nights to unwind on our way homefrom a hectic business trip - and that is exactly what the hotel offered(presumably the weekend would be slightly different?). An excellent, spacious room with all the necessary facilities, and beautifully quiet.Very good breakfast included and the staff were all very pleasant andhelpful. The hotel was very convenient for exploring the small town andnumerous historic sites. Overall a very good quality 4 star hotel towhich we would definitely return.

The staff were friendly, knowledgeable of all facilities and attractions even including directions and times for the Dublin bus. the rooms were spotless and well equipped. food was hot, chioces were plentiful and service was swift and a smile all the way. although the hotel was in Trim, a small attractive castle and river town, walks were within a few minutes walk and a peace ful atmosphere ruled. An excellent short break at a great price.

We stayed in the hotel for €49 b&B. We were surprised for that rate atthe size and cleanliness of the room. We were given a triple room, whichwas spacious and clean. The view out of the window was the roof ofanother building, but we were just using the hotel as a base, so we werenot concerned. There was also free parking in the hotel's car parkoutside the hotel.

Stayed here this time last year for same occasion - boyfriend'sbirthday. Fell in love with this hotel all over again, food isamazing!!! Drink is average priced for dublin I would know as I live indubin. Staff are lovely in this hotel and so accomadating - specialthanks to Katajan, the night receptionist who's name I can't remember, all the bar staff who were really friendly and helpful and also ourwaiter in the restaurant, who's name has also evaded my memory but whowe thought was a gem, so funny and always smiling, as well as thewaitress who was really nice :)

Wonderful Hotel! The front desk customer service was amazing! The rooms were exceptionally clean. Pool is wonderful! Bar food was delicious. It's literally a two minute walk to the Kylemore Red line LUAS stop. McDonalds and a petrol station are right across the street! It only takes 20 min. to get to the Abbey Street (down town) stop on the LUAS line. Hotel was so much nicer than this website makes it appear! I was impressed!
Colm  — 24.12.2011.
The attached restaurant was excellent, the staff were very professional but also very friendly. Checkout was excellent, staff behaviour being the same as I have seen in much more expensive hotels. The free access to the adjacent pool and gym was nice. Location of the hotel, about 2 mins walk from the trampling is good. Rooms were very nice.

The family rooms were a good size even with the extra beds pulled out.The buffet breakfast was very good and set us up for the day. Thebuilding feels quite new, was clean and well maintained. There is freewifi throughout including rooms, and in addition the rooms also have adata cable conn for internet use idf required.. It has a large fenced incar park to rear. A regular bus service runs from outside the hotel intocentral Dublin for 1.80 Euro adult and 1.05 Euro children and takesapproximatly 35mins. The hotel also provide a complimentary drop off inthe city centre at weekends, but spaces are limited so book the daybefore if possible.

We stayed 2 nights in this hotel during our weekendtrip to Dublin and it had all we could ask for. The staff was helpful and friendly, the facilities were very clean and of high standard. The room was big and comfortable, the bathroom clean. The food in the restaurant of the hotel was very tasty. The hotel lies at 2 minutes walkingdistance from the railwaystation from where you can take a train to the center (ride about 5 minutes)
Kenneth  — 30.10.2011.
This hotel is excellent value. The staff were anxious to please and my unusual request (to keep a frozen foie gras in their freezer overnight) was met with immediate positive response. If I was going to stay in Dublin, as long as I had a car, I would look no further. Very highly recommended at the price (€39.) Breakfast reasonable for €10.

the only reason I would stay here is the proximity to Dublin Airport. The area is rough and not safe to walk around alone. I witnessed the local police arrive to a disturbance 2 mins walk from where I had my car. The bar next door should be avoided at all costs. Its associated with the hotel in some way whether to provide drinks not sure, but service terrible from a bar tender who clearly only wanted locals in the place. The 4 Euro per person for the transport was too much and it only operates in the morning first starting at 5 am. This was not explained when I made the booking, My check in time was 4.30am. I had to take a taxi back when I returned and it cost 15 Euro. So the cheaper room was already 25 more expensive. The parking was advertised on the site as free with the hotel stay. This was not the case, so the hotel was 38 euro more expensive than advertised. I could have stayed at a nicer hotel in a better area for cheaper. The staff have no idea whats going on at al

Travelling with my friend, we really liked the fact that there was a Macaris downstairs. The staff there were the best!! There was also a pub connected to the hotel. So we enjoyed that. The hotel staff was also extremely helpful in letting us know all there was to do around there. Also there were grocery stores nearby to purchase bus tickets. I do think this was a very clean hotel for getting such a great deal! = ] There was a laundry place a good walk away when you are carrying it all. Its one where you drop it off though. The man who owns it was Extremely nice and worked hard to get our laundry done within hours.
Mihaela  — 10.2.2012.
Travelodge Ballymun is a relatively comfortable hotel, very convenientfor the airport (early morning or late night flights). The rooms arelarger than the standard Travlodge rooms, which is great, and there areat least two chairs in each room. The hotel has its own underground car park, so one can leave a car before flying and collect it on return. The hotel's own eatery is not bad, and there are several food/drink stores in the vicinity (as well as an ATM). If booked well in advance, rooms can cost as little as 25-30 euro (PER ROOM!), which is excelent value.
