Stayed for two nights at this beautiful hotel. We needed to book in 4hours earlier on short notice and the hotel was very willing to allow usto. Nothing to fault about this hotel, the only thing though is theparking issue but this is not really a problem if it is shortterm/weekend break. The hotel and rooms were spotless and staff veryfriendly. The bathrooms were so clean and there was plenty supply oftoiletries and also tea and coffee. Food was delicious and staff werequick serving food etc. Definately try the Baked Alaska. There was novegeterian menu but they were accomodating to this and did not chargefull price for the dishes. I would definately recommend this hotel as wethoroughly enjoyed it.

Tralee is full of one way narrow streets and being in a strange countrywith a strange car and also strangely driving on the other side of theroad..! It took me 3 circuits of Trallee to locate the Hotel which isalso on a one way street. All that being said the receptionist actuallytook me in the car to park and also paid the parking meter for me. Imust have looked the worse for wear and she more than made up for thedriving experience. Staff all very helpful all the time and we enjoyedthe room, it was comfortable and quiet and enjoyed the age of the hotel. The hotel was close to all shops in Trallee and was easy to get around(minus car !) Traditional Irish breakfast was interesting but good.Value for money in all aspects.

The Grand Hotel Tralee is a beautiful hotel with wonderful character,we stayed there for three nights in October 2011. It is located in thecenter of the old town so easy to walk about. Our room was clean andcomfortable, had all the necessities - hair dryer, toiletries, ironingboard/iron, kettle with tea and coffee. The hotel staff were sohelpful and friendly. The hotel has a pub and a dining roomdownstairs. We ate three meals in the pub over the long weekend andenjoyed the food and the atmosphere. We had breakfast in the diningroom. Our breakfast was included in the room rate and it consisted ofa nice selection of cold buffet items, and hot items from cooked toorder menu. Tralee is a typical work-a-day Irish town, nothingtouristy about the town. It has a lovely church, a path to walk to theocean, a musuem, and a very nice garden park. If touristy is desired, there is a train to Killarney. The cost for round trip from Tralee toKillarney is 10 euro per person. The ride is just at 30 minu
