I found the staff extremely friendly and helpful. They made a hugeeffort to get me hotel parking even though there were several events onthat night.They also warned me about the tickets given for streetparking. They directed me on how to get to Castletown- Geoghegan for awedding. The hotel was very comfortable and cheerful and of course thelocation is great for someone not familiar with the area. Some of thebar food could be improved. The bedroom was very spacious. I wouldreally like to stay at the Greville Arms again sometime.

We had our Christmas Party at the hotel last week, the food was good and the entertainment was brilliant. The girl as reception, Karen I think, was lovely and even remembered the number of my room without me telling her despite the hotel being so busy.

It is like walking into the past. Hotel rooms in major need of modernisation. Locationwise, hotel is fine but over priced for what you get. I would only go back there if I couldn't find another hotel room in Mullingar.

We stayed at the hotel mid-week. We arrived between 9.30 p.m. and 10.00 p.m. and after checking in we went to the bar. The only food available in the Bar was apples or chocolate biscuits, we thought there could have been some savory snacks available. That said, room was clean, breakfast was good and it was good value for €60 for 2 B&B.

The staff couldn't do enough for you but are not over bearing. The location is fantastic as it is in the City Centre. The breakfast is all day so there is no rush up! I throughly enjoyed my stay in Mullingar and my stay in this hotel. The beding was lovely and clean.

Very disappointed with hotel, staff unfriendly, no parking at hotel, 4 of us stayed in family room and they wanted to charge is extra for room or £10 each for breakfast, so just left, very unhappy will not be staying again or recommending hotel

Mullingar looked on the map to be a good location for reaching theDublin airport, and seemed to have a lot of interesting sites nearby,like Clonmac Noise Abbey. It was nice that it turned out that Mullingaritself is a very nice town with several very good restaurants (theSilver Oak Indian restaurant was outstanding), and the Newbury wasconvenient to everything. The rooms and the beds were good-sized, andthe locked car park was especially nice.

The first room in the older part of the hotel was terrible. The section should be condemned it was so bad. They moved us to the new part which was much better but the room was smaller and the sleeping arrangement was a compromise. There was also a train line right under the hotel which was not horrible but you will not be sleeping late in your room. The location is in the middle of a small city or busy town and not very relaxing.

Hotel was very central within the town and easy to find. There is secureparking for residents cars at the rear of the hotel and the gate on thecar park is locked overnight to keep out any unwanted intruders. Ourroom, the whole hotel in fact, was spotlessly clean and all the woodworklook as though it had just been polished. Breakfast was served promptlyand the fry was tasty and piping hot. Excellent value for money
