I was looking at the last minute for a place to stay for the Jazzfestival and was having difficulties. Many places were booked up andmany of the "average" type hotels had elevated prices. Having firstdismissed Hayfield Manor as being out of my league, I found myselfreturning to it as the price seemed comparable to many of the other lessluxurious hotels. I decided to splash out and go for it and I have tosay it was worth it. Has to be one of the nicest places I've ever stayedin. The building is fantastic, beautifully decorated inside and out. Thestaff are superbly professional and generally very friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and luxurious with many little touches that Ithought were excellent. (One very simple addition for example was a mapof jogging routes for the area which I availed of as I think a quick jogaround a new area is a great way to get a feel for a place). This placeis luxury, with a very comfortable big bed, a jacuzzi bath and all thefacilities you could wis

The hotel and staff are amazing! The feeling you get as soon as youarrive at the hotel is one of being enveloped in comfort and that stayswith you throughout your stay.Staff are beyond helpful, nothing is toomuch trouble and all requests are treated with a genuine smile. We atein Perrotts Bistro and the food was amazing and really well priced, weexpected much higher prices considering the hotel is 5 star. Overall wecant wait to get back to Hayfield Manor!

I have stayed at the Imperial around 6 or 7 times over a number of years and the rooms have never been their best feature but I have to say the room I had this time had two windows both of which opened partially and the only thing you could see out of either window was the airconditioning pipes/ they were literally less than a foot form the window and I dont know if it was because this was the first time I had booked the hotel through your site or because I elected to have a smoking room - either way forgetting about the fact that you literally couldnt see daylight out of the room it was unbearably hot - I understand the hotel dont have aircon but it is one of the worst rooms I have staying in at any hotel and I was very disspointed that when I mentioned this in the morning no one seemed interested in what I had to say - I would say I have always reccomended the hotel but I wont be doing that again and I am very unlkely to stay myself - I have usually been with a party who would take

Initially we were given a room on the first floor which was next to the noisy kitchen extractor (which operates late at night and early mornings), however, the hotel manager provided us with an alternative room which was very comfortable. The staff at the hotel were very pleasant, the room very comfortable and the bathroom had a great shower! Overall we had a great experience and would recommend the Imperial Hotel due to its central location.

The hotel staff at the front desk and at the concierge desk wereextremely friendly and helpful. That was so appreciated, as it was myfirst time to Cork and it was nerve-wracking trying to drive in the cityand figure out the parking and how to unload the car. I really wish Icould have stayed longer, as I loved the 'old world' feel of the hotel-- it was beautiful.

The hotel is absolutly first rate, one of the best we have stayed in,in this price bracket. Everything most people would expect from amodern city centre hotel. Good size rooms, which are well equipped andours had a view out over the River Lee and surrounding area of Cork. The bathroom could not be faulted, with seperate shower and bath. Thehotel staff and quality of food was excellent. Large, secureunderground free car park for all residents. City centre is a fiveminute walk. We can't wait to go back

Staff were very friendly and the standard room was beautifully furnishedin a very appealing clean modern style with a glass enclosed alcovelooking out onto the River Lee and Cork City. All sorts of the hi-techoptions expected in hotels were around, yet there was still a cosy feel.It was easy to relax there after a long day with a hot bath in the goodsized tub and then just quietly enjoying the view with a cup of tea. Thenewest and oldest layers of Cork City fitting well together.
