Holiday Inn Express Dublin-Airport was a lovely short three night stay.I packed a lot in. Buying a three day freedom bus pass is very helpfulfor 26 euro. You save so much. For example you get to tour the hop onhop off bus for three days, free walking tour included, and use bus, airlink (airport bus) and train service in any direction. I stronglyrecommend buying a freedom pass upon arrival to Dublin. Holiday Inn Express Dublin-Airport hotel provided free coach to hotel, hotel to airport transportation and complimentary breakfast. Computer access is available in the waiting area for a small fee. Wish the minutes did not run out so fast though. Would be nice if that was also complimentary, but I know everything cannot be that way. Nice grounds area if you want to walk or run. Would be nice if they had indoor fitness facilities, incase of rain, but I got my exercise doing a lot of walking. Overall stay was 8.5 out of 10. Would stay there again in the future.

We stayed at the hotel only because we were arriving home to Dublin on a late flight and had a 3hr drive ahead so decided to stay overnight near the airport. The hotel was only about 10-15 mins drive from the airport long term car park (blue). I had booked the hotel on the basic requirement of a bed for the night but was pleasantly surprised. The room was small but well laid out with couch, desk, tv etc. The rooms are modern and well equipped (love the bathroom and reading LED's) and even have a wireless keyboard (presumably for internet access via TV but I didn't use it.) As the hotel was good value and parking was only €6 for the night, I would consider staying here again for a functional reason.

My partner and I stayed at this hotel for one night on a stopover in Dublin. The hotel is clean, quite comfortable, and conveniently located near the airport. The beds were especially cosy and soft to sleep on. There is a city bus outside the hotel that takes you right into the heart of Dublin. It took us only about 20 minutes to get to the main Temple Bar area. The staff member at the hotel had a good deal of information to help us get into Dublin. The bus stops running quite early, though, so if you want to stay out late, you have to take a cab back to the hotel (approximately 20 Euros). Overall, though, we recommend this hotel highly!

Stayed at the Dergvale for one night. Very close to O'Connell street butin a slightly run down back street. Don't be put off by the appearencefrom the outside. The rooms are quite small and basic, but very clean.Would recommend as a budget hotel or even for use on business (my use).Bus tickets can be purchased from the shop across the road and theshuttle bus from the airport drops off on O'Connell street just a twominute walk from the hotel. Would definitely stay here again iftravelling on my own - perhaps not if I was with wife and/or family.

Excellent location: 5 minute walk from O'Connell Street, the main street in Dublin as well as where all the buses converge; less than 25 minute walk to anywhere in the city. Very friendly staff, and if like me you have to leave before dawn (~4:30 AM for me), they'll arrange for your breakfast to be ready at the designated time and call a taxi for you, as well as a wake-up call. It's not the cheapest in Dublin but quite cheap compared to most hotels located that close to the City Centre.
Sylvia  — 30.11.2011.
The owners are very friendly and helpful and provide that personal service that you don't always find in larger establishments. I arrived late in the evening and was asked if I would like a pot of tea brought up to my room which was very welcome after a long journey. The single room was spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. There was no noise from other guests and I slept well.

The location is just unbeatable to me: bang in the city centre (on theright side of town, which is d2, not d1 where instead can be dangerous). The place, despite being a hostel, is very safe, not even once had I hadto worry about my stuff being stolen (even though I did use a safe tostore my laptop and important belongings) another great feature of this hostel is the huge, wi-fi connected common area where you can study, read, connect to the internet, meet lots of people, eat, watch TV. That is really really nice as you will never feel lonely even if you travel solo.
Anonymous  — 30.1.2012.
The staff are extremely helpful and friendly, the DIY kitchen was clean and well stocked, breakfast was basic but just right. The common room was comfortable, clean and useable. The bedroom was a good size and the beds comfortable. The location was great, withing perfect staggering distance of temple bar but far enough away to reduce most of the noise, also close enough to the shops that even the shopaholics didn't need a taxi home.
Matthew  — 7.2.2012.
We stay there everytime we go, the last time was the 5th time. Never hadany complaints. Its simply a bed for the night at a really really goodprice. Will more than likely be staying there again. 2 min walk totemple bar area which also means a nice easy 2 min stagger back at 4 inthe morning. Would recommend for groups of freinds just wanting a placeto call base camp whilst you're exploring the fantasic city of Dublin!!

We booked a room for ballsbridge inn but ended up staying at theballsbridge towers for a small upgrade fee of 5 eur/day. We had a largeroom with a separate walk in dressing for clothes and luggage which wasgreat cause we traveled with a 2 Y.o and she didn't have access to thedressing to mess up the luggage :). also she loved running up and downthe hotel stairs and lobby cause they have a very thick and soft carpetall over on which she loved to fall :). all in all a very cozy andclassy hotel and very good value for money. The bus takes you from theairport and stops exactly in front of the hotel. The complex haseverything you need: a fairly big store, a restaurant and a lounge room, internet access, bus stop in front of the hotel. Very clean bathrooms.Next time we visit dublin we'll definetly go to the same hotel.

The hotel was really nice, the staff were very helpful. All amenities are available on site with the hotel having its own shop on the premises. Location was excellent as the bus stop is right outside the hotel gate including the Air Coach which is excellent for late arrivals or early departures to the airport. The hotel is also only a few minutes walk from Lansdowne Road Daart station which is very convenient as the walk into the city center is around 20 minutes plus. The bar on site is excellent, breakfast was good and a late night coffee shop over the weekend is an excellent idea. The bedroom was very spacious and comfortable.

The welcome from the front desk staff was warm and friendly. We enjoyed a free upgrade as our Junior Suite was not ready. We were assigned room 405. It was huge - a large vestibule, spacious bedroom and an even larger living/dining room. Best of all, it had 2 separate toilets which were very clean. I enjoyed a rate of €250 inclusive of buffet breakfast and all taxes. Terrific deal for all that we enjoyed plus close proximity to all the sights and shopping!!
