We went there for our 20th wedding anniversary and were pleasantly surprised when on arrival we were told that our room had been upgraded to a business class room, that made everything even more wonderful. Would go back there in a heartbeat, the breakfast was lovely with tons of fresh fruit and so much to choose from,,,,,,,,,,,,,, loved everything about the hotel. When we checked out we found out we got the upgrade because the hotel was fully booked

Castle Grove is, what it's title suggests, a Country House Hotel. Thetree-lined drive from the gate to the house is a gentle, ten-minutewalk. Castle Grove has not got the shiny, technological brashness of theinternational hotel-chain variety, and all the better for that. It is aninviting country home where one is welcomed with genuine, soft-voicedDonegal friendliness. It is a family's much-loved home. Lest anyone fearintrusiveness or nosiness in this, fear not: the attention and warmth isgenuine and discreet. Breakfast in one's room, served with quietness andcare, is the ultimate, restorative pampering. The drawing rooms andelegant dining room are graceful: the furniture is comfortable and welllived in; the polished mahogany reflects bowls of fresh flowers; thewhite table linen is crisp, and candlelight twinkles in the wine-glasses: all sets the scene for food lovingly and expertly prepared asfor distinguished guests - guests who are friends. While I waited fordinner in the red drawin

The hotel was exceptionally comfortable and Olde World, but everything worked, if sometimes in a quirky fashion. The staff were helpful and friendly, the food was quite excellent, which was something of a surprise, because that was not really highlighted in the blurb. The room I had was huge, and comfortable, again in an Olde World way. I enjoyed my stay, and will endeavour to go back, this time taking my wife with me.

The hotel is very centrally located for all town amenities, the rooms were lovely, spacious, clean and well attended. The food was exceptional and bar staff and waitresses were excellent. We stayed for four nights and could easily have stayed longer. Without a doubt, we would return to Letterkenny and the Station House Hotel. Finally I will recommend both the town and the Station House Hotel to family and friends.

The Clanree was excellent value for money,we just stayed for one night as we have a relative in hospital. The staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent with plenty of variety and keenly priced. The facilities pool jacuzzi etc were lovely to relax in after our long drive from Dublin. The only downside was I thought the double bed was a bit small but very comfy. The hotel is old but spotlessly clean.I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a budget stay in letterkenny. It is a little bit away from the town but if you have a car it's no problem and there are local taxis for 5 euros around town.

I was very impressed with the size of our family room, and the fact we had a kitchen was a great asset with young children. The staff in the hotel were very pleasant and accommodating. The food was lovely and the overall cleanliness and decor of the hotel was fantastic. We took full advantage of the pool and leisure facilities which were very good. The hotel is ideally situated just outside the town centre. Not very far to travel to nearby beach and also to Glenveagh national park. Thoroughly enjoyed our family weekend here and cant wait to go back.

I liked the layout of the hotel, very spacious. The food in the hotel was excellent...breakfast, bar food. I also enjoyed the music entertainment, both bands were very enjoyable. The layout of the bar is very spacious, with plenty of seating. The children enjoyed the leisure facilities, especially the swimming pool. The reception staff were very friendly and polite and very helpful. We really enjoyed our stay there and would recommend it to family and friends.

We enjoyed our stay at Gallaghers Hotel in spite of the terrible weatheras it rained continuously. There was so much to enjoy at the hotel fromthe trendy bar, to romantic glassed in restaurant where we could lookout at the activity outside, to the outdoor and foyer tables and chairsto enjoy something to eat and drink. The rooms were spacious and verycomfy with good bedlinen and very comfy pillows, a rare pleasure. Thestaff were incredibly helpful and pleasant, especially with me being ina wheelchair which the hotel adequately catred for, except to the bararea. We would certainly go back there but this time with a car as oneis much needed for sight seeing as the tours end in September.

We booked into this hotel on Friday 27 May as recommended by a friendas we had a family wedding to attend to on the Saturday. We liked theidea that the hotel was very central and that we could park our car inthe underground car park as the area around the hotel is very busy. Wefound all the staff very friendly and our room was clean andcomfortable. We enjoyed our breakfast which was lovely and there was agood selection to choose from. The rate per room was very good comparedto some other hotels.
